Timi Delahunty the owner and director of Core Condition Pilates and Massage Studio, since 2005. Originally based in Mildura, Victoria, Timi and her family has loved the sea change and being in operation in Hervey Bay since 2018. With over 16 years experience and in excess of 7,500 teaching hours, Timi has attained the highest level of qualifications available for a Pilates practitioner. Timi has completed both her Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method (10538NAT) and Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (91491NSW). Last week was a BIG one in the studio — packed with tutorials and teaching clinics 🙌

Real learning. Real teaching. Real preparation for working with everyday bodies.

We’ve been guiding our instructors to step confidently into the studio environment — ready to observe, listen, adapt, and truly support the clients in front of them.

Sometimes it’s the smallest pieces of apparatus that create the biggest shifts ✨

Hard at work — and under the watchful eyes of Hutch 🐾
Because learning should be serious and fun. 🙌🏻

Today’s focus:
Programming for group sessions, and teaching beyond just the name of an exercise.
This is about building instructors who understand why they’re teaching something — not just what they’re teaching.
Deeper knowledge = better coaching = better outcomes = better Pilates experiences. Full stop.

Only a few delivery days left now… and the countdown to assessments is officially on for these two. 💥

It’s not work when you love what you do 🫶
So much fun in our first week back.
I didn’t catch footage of these two in serious mode with only one slider 🧐

Plenty to tidy up technically — but for all intents and purposes, they worked.
✅ Coordination
✅ Reaction time (responsiveness)
✅ Body-weight loading
✅ A little cardio by the end
✅ Right + left brain training

And above all…
😎 FUN. Proper fun.
What I also 🫶 about this?
The generation gap vanishes when everyone’s too busy concentrating, laughing, and trying not to cheat.

This one isn't for the faint of heart - so make sure this is right for you in a safe space.
🫣 Why go eyes-closed?
Removes visual input, forcing your inner ear + proprioception (sense of body in space) to do heavier lifting
💪 Strengthens deep stabilisers and balance pathways
Highly predictive: if you struggle here, that’s where we need targeted training
Start: 5-10 sec → 20 sec → build.
💯➡️ Remember: safety first. Do near a wall or chair.

🦶 Single-leg balance + slowly rotate your head left → centre → right (or up/down).

✨Why this is gold:
Combines unilateral (one-leg) challenge + vestibular input
💪 Forces your supporting leg, core, and balance reflexes to ‘stay awake’
🌪️ Good test: wobbles, hip shift, foot drift — that’s where your body is hiding weakness
Aim: 10–20 sec → 30+ sec (start easy).
