Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition that affects 1 in 10 women and girls.
Women with PCOS have larger ovaries with or without cysts.
It is caused due to a hormonal imbalance, the body producing more levels of the male hormones.
This impacts the menstrual cycle and causes other symptoms that can vary from person to person, but some common ones include:
😮👉 Excessive hair growth on face, chest, back
😮👉 Weight gain
😮👉 Acne
😮👉 Irregular or missed periods
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, eating well and regular exercise can help manage PCOS.
