𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘀
As I enter this winter period, with the simultaneous conclusion of a University Study Period to further my knowledge of Chinese Herbal Medicine, it is true that my mind is full of herbs.
Much like this shelf of various medicinal substances with confusing characters on the labels, so too my head feels a little jumbled with all this information.
Winter is a great time for this information to be sorted, consolidated and formed into something useful, in the relatively slower moving Yin period of the year.
So too, you may find yourself or your body overwhelmed with various aches, pains, digestive upsets or niggling sore throats, blocked noses and fatigue.
Winter calls upon you to nourish your body, slow down, disengage from the Yang nature of the other seasons and allow consolidation and moistening, just as the earth is consolidated and moistened outside throughout the next three months.
Doing this mindfully, with conscious intent on nourishment over the following three months, rather than overextension will aid you in preparing your Earth (Digestion) for Spring where its limits will be challenged.
Over the next three months, as I consolidate the knowledge I have collected over the past three months, I invite you to join me as I share how I attend to my inner sanctum through Winter, to ensure that the next Season is as expansive and energetic and healthful as one can hope for.
