New release 📕

‘It’s Not Just a Tree’ 🌳 is a lovely short story showing appreciation to our trees and reminding our children how important they are to us.

My story was used at every year group at my school recently for Tu bishvat - a lovely Jewish tradition which marks the age of fruiting trees but is also used to emphasise the duty of care to the natural world.

It’s also a perfect story to use for when 🌲happens in July.

And we couldn’t write a book about trees without dedicating it to our great friend who has planted over 150’000 trees Through her foundation 🌲

Check out our new 📕 for on our website. The story aims to educate young people where all our belongings actually come from. By understanding that every item we use was once a part of the natural world 🌏
Through the lens of the 4Rs, this book provides a roadmap for living resourcefully. It’s rethink the bin, reduce the mountain of waste, and show the world that children have the power to protect the earths precious gifts.

🤯 Wow what a year it has been!

💡 From Bee Ready just being a big idea in my very sleep deprived little head 😅

🖊️ To creating an actual business plan, lesson plans, illustrations, logos, resources, social media, training, proposals

£ To getting funding

🐝 To running the first Bee Ready with Mrs Summerbee course with wonderful families

🌱 To watching the children develop their skills and grow with confidence week by week 🥹

🥰 To getting lovely feedback from the children and the parents, and it proving to have a positive impact on school readiness (the whole point of why I created it!)

🎉 To gaining extra funding to run courses at 3 locations across Gloucester in 2026! (More exciting information coming about that soon!)
