Wise Eyes Optometrists is looking for a vibrant and friendly person to join our small, family-owned practice.

We have a part-time position available for 3 days per week (15–20 hours), with the opportunity for additional full days during busy periods and to help cover holidays or sick leave.

About the role:
This position includes retail responsibilities and working closely with our optometrist to help ensure every patient receives outstanding eye care and service.

Experience is preferred but not essential, we’re happy to train the right person with a great attitude and willingness to learn!

About Us

Wise Eyes Optometrists is an independent, locally owned family business, established in Highfields in 2007 by husband and wife Optometrists Mark Stevenson and Melanie Wiseman. Mark is a local product having grown up in the Toowoomba area. They have 2 children, both girls. After spending several years practicing Optometry both in Australia and in England, they decided to put their vast experience to work and set up Wise Eyes Optometrists in beautiful Highfields. Mark and Melanie have a passion for delivering friendly, professional eyecare. They believe it's important to stay at the forefront of research in all aspects of vision. They pride themselves on taking the extra time to listen to their patients needs in order to provide the best possible eyecare solutions.

At Wise Eyes, we have invested in the latest technology equipment, to deliver the best possible eyecare. We have an OCT (Optical Coherence Tomographer) and digital retinal camera, which enables earlier and more accurate diagnosis of many eye diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. It is also fantastic to evaluate and assess diabetic patients eyes.

Wise Eyes Optometrists also has a special interest in Children's vision. We can thoroughly assess your child's vision and if required administer a specific Visual Therapy Program to help assist your child's visual difficulties.

Wise Eyes Optometrists have a huge range of leading designer brand optical frames and sunglasses. Whatever your face shape, we will be able to fit you with a great looking pair of glasses. Brands we carry include; Ray-Ban, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Prodesign, Oroton, Vogue, Kliik, Cocosong, Koali, Sceats, Jono Hennessy, Kate Spade, Oakley and many many more. Wise Eyes Optometrists use the latest technology, highest quality lenses available. They are mostly either German or Japanese made and engineered for superior vision.
