✨ A Gentle but Important Reminder About Appointments ✨
As most of you know, Imani Boutique Spa is a home-based salon. We don’t have shopfront foot traffic, which means last-minute cancellations are extremely difficult to fill — even with a cancellation list.
When an appointment is booked, that time is reserved exclusively for you. If it’s cancelled with only a few hours’ notice (or not attended at all), it leaves a gap that we simply can’t refill. That time is our income.
We absolutely understand that life happens — sickness, unexpected bills, family emergencies. We are human too. But when an appointment is booked out, it becomes a committed time slot that needs to be honoured.
We ask for 72 hours’ notice, but even 48–24 hours gives us a fair chance to offer the spot to someone on our waitlist. Recently we’ve had a few cancellations with just 2 hours’ notice, and unfortunately that’s just not sustainable for a small business like ours.
For this reason, we have had to reinstate deposits for clients who frequently late cancel, reschedule last minute, arrive significantly late, or no-show.
If a card declines, the cancellation fee remains payable before booking your next appointment.
Booking an appointment is a commitment — just as we commit that time to you.
