Today we’re wishing a very happy birthday to Ben! 🎂🎊

Ben enjoys getting out into the community, visiting local shops, the beach, and spending time doing things at his own pace.

At Horizon Community Services, our role has been to support him in staying connected to his community, building confidence in everyday activities, and maintaining routines that support his independence and wellbeing.

We’re grateful to share these moments with you, Ben, and we look forward to supporting more meaningful days ahead. 💚

As part of the Great Barrier Reef cruise, Joshua and the team had the chance to experience the beauty and energy of Airlie Beach. 🪸🌷

The day was filled with gentle exploring and moments of curiosity, including a visit to a local shops where stories of the coast, the sea, and island life brought the area to life.

This respite wasn’t just about the destination. It was about creating space to relax, giving participants the freedom to explore, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences, all while receiving the support they need to feel safe and empowered. 🫶

Respite, Reimagined at Sea ✨🌊

Joshua recently joined a 7-day Great Barrier Reef cruise, and his experience says it all. From peaceful moments on the deck to exciting onboard experiences, this trip offered the perfect balance of rest, fun, and connection.

It has been such a privilege to support Alan through his daily routines, share good conversations over tea, and watch him enjoy the little moments that make each day meaningful. 🫶

As much as he has watched us grow as a service, we’ve also witnessed his continued progress - building confidence, maintaining routines, and staying engaged in the activities he enjoys.

We’re excited to celebrate one of our newest participants, Chels. 💚

She recently enjoyed a relaxed day out with our team, choosing her own activities, exploring the community, enjoying breakfast, and spending time doing the things she loves.

It was wonderful to see her engage confidently, make choices throughout the day, and enjoy a safe, supported outing with our lovely staff. We’re looking forward to more meaningful activities with her as she continues building independence and community connection. 🌷💕
