Whenever I saw health professionals in the past, I always thought they must have life all sorted. They seemed so wise and grounded, so surely they’d solved their problems and uncovered the secret to the perfect life. 🤷‍♀️

But now that I’m here, holding space and supporting others, I realise that’s not quite how it works. My ducks are definitely not all in a row (in fact, I think I may have lost a duck or two since going through menopause). 🙄🥴🦆

Yes, I’ve come a long way and overcome some huge hurdles, but I still have more healing to do. To be the best I can be, I keep seeking support from other practitioners and tending to my own physical, emotional and energetic health.

The stories I share are real - the highs, the lows, and all the ‘work in progress’. I’m not perfect, and I’m finally in a place where that almost feels OK.

It’s from this place of honesty that I can truly be there for others. Because we’re all just doing our best to find balance, one step at a time.

Do you ever wonder why some people always seem to achieve their goals?

Your thoughts and self-talk shape your energy. When you believe in yourself and focus on positive outcomes, your mind and body begin to align with that possibility.

But if you tell yourself you’ll fail, aren’t worthy or can’t do it - you’ll probably be right! 😬

As you move toward your goals, notice your self-talk - is it supporting you or keeping you stuck?

When your energy, mindset and belief come into alignment, growth flows naturally.

In Kinesiology and Mind Body Medicine, I often talk about yin and yang, the two complementary forces that describe balance in the body and mind. When one becomes depleted or overactive, imbalance can show up in the body as tension, fatigue, pain or emotional overwhelm.

Here’s a simple way to look at them:

Yin (left side of the body)
☯️ Feminine
☯️ Stillness, rest, receptivity
☯️ Internal focus
☯️ Cool
☯️ Dark

Yang (right side of the body)
☯️ Masculine
☯️ Doing, action, movement
☯️ Outward focus
☯️ Warmth
☯️ Light

When I combine this understanding with your physical symptoms and emotional patterns, we can begin to explore deeper questions such as:

👉 Are you constantly on the go and find rest uncomfortable?
👉 Are you finding it difficult to connect inwardly or feel vulnerable?
👉 Do you have challenges with a male or female in your life?
👉 Is there tension in your internal (home) or external (work) environment?
👉 Do you spend more time focusing on others rather than yourself?

Are you someone who gets caught up in the busyness of life, becoming disconnected and losing touch with how you truly feel?

What if you paused for a moment, stepped away from the chaos, and tuned in? 🧘‍♀️

Find a quiet space and check in:

💙 What’s weighing on your mind? Is anything causing frustration, stress or worry?
💙 What feelings arise when you focus on this situation?
💙 How does your body feel? Notice any tension, tightness, heaviness or discomfort?

Instead of pushing these sensations away, acknowledge what comes up in your body. Breathe into it. Stay present with it. Simply observe any shifts or changes.

Even just a few minutes of self-awareness can help you to reconnect, bringing you out of your busy mind, back into your body and restoring a sense of alignment.

During a Kinesiology session, I often check your chakras to see if they’re out of balance in relation to the issue or goal we’re working on. 💫

Chakras are quite a complex topic, however in summary they are like little vortexes connecting the energetic layers of the human body and the physical body.

There are seven major chakras which are the main energy centres of the body. They each have a governing effect over a specific gland, the organs this gland influences and the surrounding physical region. Therefore, any blockage or disruption in energy flow affects your physical and mental well-being.

Here’s a quick snapshot of the seven major chakras:

❤️ Root/Base – grounding, security, belonging + adrenals
🧡 Sacral – creativity, relationships + reproductive organs
💛 Solar Plexus – confidence, personal power + pancreas
💚 Heart – love, compassion, forgiveness + thymus
💙 Throat – communication, self-expression, truth + thyroid and parathyroid
💜 Third Eye/Brow – intuition, wisdom, logic + pituitary glands
🤍 Crown – enlightenment, higher awareness + pineal gland and hypothalamus

So … how’s that New Year’s resolution going? 🤔

Is your motivation already slipping a little? Sometimes those shiny new goals start to feel overwhelming, and before we know it, we’re doing nothing. 😬

The real secret to lasting change is knowing your ’why’ — the deeper reason behind what you want.

Have you thought about your ‘why' lately?

👉 What would some of the benefits be for you - better mood, more energy, improved sleep, reduce pain, increased self-esteem?
👉 How would it ripple into other parts of your life - more patience with the kids, better focus at work, stronger connections, prevent illness and disease?
👉 What happens if you settle for how things are now - feeling stressed, tense, exhausted or disconnected?

When you’re connected to your ‘why’, staying on track feels easier and less like a chore.

Happy new year! 🥳🤩

I hope your break was filled with a mix of rest, laughter and time with the people you love.

I cherished some slow days alongside Lola, pottering around at home and connecting with friends and family. Exactly what I needed to start the year feeling grounded and refreshed.

As we step into 2026, I hope you find balance between doing and being, and make space for the things that truly nourish you.

And just like that… it’s Christmas again! 🎄

I’m taking a short break over the Christmas and New Year period to slow down, recharge and fill my own cup before the new year begins.

My last day will be Saturday 20th December, and I’ll be back consulting from Thursday 8th January 2025.

Thank you all for your support and kindness throughout the year, it truly means so much. I’ve loved sharing in your journeys and being part of your wellbeing. 💫

🌵 Thorn - A challenge or obstacle: Something that didn’t quite go to plan.

Jotting down your ‘Rose, Bud and Thorn’ can bring a beautiful mix of gratitude, awareness and inspiration to carry with you into 2026.

Following a Kinesiology session, you may not always notice any significant or dramatic changes. Often the most meaningful shifts are subtle, unfolding quietly in the background, even if they’re not easy to measure or explain.

💙 Thinking more clearly and rationally.
💙 Communicating openly and with ease.
