New here? Let me reintroduce myself 💫

I’m Sarah — founder of Strongwomen Fitness and MumSTRONG, our 8-week return-to-exercise program for mums 💪

It’s been a while, and there are lots of new faces around here, so here’s a little about me ↓

I’m a mum of four kids, (20, 18, 16 & 13) and I built my business from my own experience — raising kids across Australia with very little support and zero postpartum guidance.

After five pregnancies and four births, my body felt completely foreign, weak, and old!

When we finally settled back in Hobart, I knew something had to change — for me, and for the women of Hobart and so MumSTRONG was born 🌱

I’m super down-to-earth and approachable — no filters, no fads, just real movement for real women.

My mission is to remove the barriers that often stop women from exercising — whether that’s pain/symptoms, lack of confidence or childcare, finances or not knowing where to start 💙

Strongwomen has successfully supported hundreds of women (ages 18–77!) to move with strength, purpose and confidence at every stage of womanhood 🌿

Why I’ll Never Skip the Single-Leg Press 🚀

As both a Strength & Conditioning coach and a field hockey player, the single-leg press has become a non-negotiable in my weekly program.

Hockey (and most team sports) demand speed, power, and quick changes of direction — all of which happen off one leg. The single-leg press builds the strength and stability I need to accelerate, decelerate, and stay balanced under pressure.

It’s also been key in helping me manage injuries, aches and pain.

Adjusting expectations and prioritising smart strength work means I can keep showing up, performing well, and playing the sport I love as a mum (and aging athlete) 😉

From Monday 21 July, we’re trialling a 7pm Stronger Class at the Lindisfarne Rowing Club. If you’d love to see this class stay on the timetable, please come along and share it with your networks.

Our Stronger classes are:

Family, Friends, Fun, Fitness + Food!

My name is Sarah and I love living in Tasmania. I am a mum to four children and wife to an amazing man that knows the way to my heart is through my stomach. He’s a true keeper!

After having my forth child and returning to exercise myself, it became obvious to me the lack of specialised and qualified women's fitness trainers. I saw this as an opportunity to help not only mums but women in general to understand their bodies better, feel good about themselves and to safely return to exercise.

MY GOAL:

I want to help women to feel strong! I want to help women find ways to prioritise their own health + wellbeing.
