The Joker pranks Little Jim Gym?!

The craziness continues at LJG with the break in by none other than the Joker!

Incredible scenes as the Joker plays merry hell with Slim Jim's treasure hunt, clues and keys.

I hope everyone picks up on the shennanigans and sees and opportunity to jump the Clue Queue.

Watch closely as the NEW location of a key is insidiously given away by the infamous Joker!

PS: Slim Jim is rattled and a little sheepish after his advance was rejected. Even the undead have a heart :P

Ziggy brought his master, Kersten, along today to sniff out some clues in the Slim Jim Treasure Hunt.

They managed to find the first 3 clues and now up to Clue 4.

What he hell is happening at Little Jim Gym?

Hell being the operative word! Well, there is currently a 2 week hunt going on for Slim Jim's Treasure Chest key!

The gym has been turned into a clue ridden, horror show with a Treasure Chest suspended from the ceiling and members wondering WTF is going on.....Halloween shenanigans and simple fun really, simple as that!

Fitness is so f%$king boring typically, but not at Little Jim Gym!

Check out Slim Jim deadlifting to death next time you go past LJG off New Town main road. He holds a 1000 pounds in weight, I wonder how much he holds in his suspended treasure chest?!

F&^K Societal Norms and Labels!

I HATE labels and "expected" modes of action and behaviour, particularly in relation to Age and Oldness!

It is my Pet Peeve!

As I spend more years orbiting the sun, I find I have to work harder to block the constant barrage of popularist reporting and fear mongering that flood my social media platforms and by the last remnants of the antiquated mainstream media brands.

Clickbait headlines become "fact" with people reacting rather than proactively seeking the truths. To be honest, it's always been this way it's just that social media has exponentially accelerated this critical thinking quagmire.

I expect I'm something of a maverick. I quite frankly, couldn't care less what society and people in general think of me and my behaviours. I'm thick skinned and VERY solid with who and where I'm at in life.

So I can "be me" without aligning myself with any political or cultural subgroup. I don't need to "belong" or fit in. I'm intrinsically motivated, happy to be alone, and not interested in the group dynamic.

I'm more than happy being authentically idiosyncratic, a tad eccentric and outside the general paradigms that society love to push down our throats.

Age / Oldness in one of those subjects that gets regurgitated when media runs out of any original content.

YOU choose when you peak, in fact, I STRONGLY suggest you NEVER peak but that you constantly look to advance, in every sense!

My reply to the post in "The Conversation":

It's literally in my surname, nature and my profession (Strength Coach) to give zero weight to my "chronological age". My time around the sun.

My issue has never been age. Age is not "just" a number, it is exactly that, a number. A measure of our time on Earth.

It MUST never define our value regardless of how society LOVES to put a label on all cohorts.
HOWEVER, how "old" you feel/look/act is a VERY different matter.

We can't alter the number of orbits around our sun, but we can very definitely redefine HOW we feel/look/act with each orbit.

So f%$k "oldness". Maintain youthful wonder, religiously train your mind, muscles and heart to "be stronger, be better" EVERY day....that can, must be done at ANY age!

Stop telling yourself "I ache, I feel tired, I've lost my mojo!". Stop buying into your own rhetoric!
Be proactive and spend your remaining years seeking to ache less, gain more energy and rekindle your mojo!

I'm 61 chronologically, 45 metabolically and in the best shape of my life, I have been since 55.
I have the vitality and child like curiosity I've always had.....I've staved off Oldness, so can you!

Perhaps it’s time we stopped treating midlife as a countdown and started recognising it as a peak.

Case Study:
Slim Jim's 0% Bodyfat Journey 🏋‍♂️☠️

Slim Jim's story is one of rare determination and unswerving dedication...but to what cost!?

His zero percent journey was simply death defying or at least it was initially.

Ultimately, Slim payed the ultimate price....but totally worth it right....I mean Slim is shredded!

Slim's favourite lift to reach zero percent was the....wait for it, the Deadlift and his form is, not surprisingly, dead on! Ironically his favourite lift became prophetic!

Things spiraled downhill fast with Slim as he looked to Instagram, Youtube and Tik Tok for guidance on diet options and "Inspiring Physiques".

Slim was misled by so-called Fitness Influencers. He started sniffing creatine and taking up extreme deficit diets!

By the time he sought REAL advice, it was too late. Slim was a shadow of his former self.

Thankfully, my reanimation skills have bought Slim Jim back to the spotlight.

So don't be a Slim Jim.

You're gym sucks!

Losing fat, getting fit must be hard, painful, restrictive so you need enthusiastic gym trainers who endlessly encourage you to not give up....right?!

Sounds obvious. Extrinsic motivation. Looking to please others, your trainers, your support group.

Trainers, who live, breath and dedicate themselves to fitness and nutrition. Constantly encouraging you to "be positive". Trainers who plaster lifestyle and habit platitudes on their socials. "It gets easier" they say, "you're almost at the end of you're challenge", "Just a few more weeks!"

Trouble is, with most trainers, being fit, strong and healthy IS THEIR JOB. It is often their lifestyle, it's their "daily normal". However, you have a family, a stressful job, heavy demands on your time and energy and you can't devote endless hours to tweaking nutrition and refining your sleep and daily habits.....they can, you can't!

So how's it working for you? Are you on the hamster wheel of challenge/fail and repeat?

You're getting advice from the wrong people regardless of their "good intentions"!

Listen, they all mean well but these methods are essentially flawed and have been for decades.

The Truth!
Most of us will NEVER get to our unrealistic goals, some of you will reach your dream physiques, most won't. The physique shots you seen on Instagram are the VAST minority but we told it's within your reach....NO IT ISN'T.

Your gym wants you to buy into the "anything is possible" scenario. Your gym has the trainers and methods to get you there.... the reality is, they don't, never did and never will.

The Answer.
Join a gym that knows that pain has NO place in reaching you "realistic goals". That restrictive diets are bulls #$t and unsustainable. That understands life happens and that the secret is resilience NOT which brand of protein or which machine is best to use!

A gym that understands, in fact, DEMANDS, that building lean muscle and strength is VITAL to a higher quality of life.

But most importantly, a gym that understands that your plan MUST be flexible, free of judgement and makes your journey rewarding NOT punishing!

If that gym has enormous experience and a method, even better.

Oh Yeah, that gym is "Little Jim".

Create My Goal Physique☑️. What's next?!

After 45 years of weight training/strength training/body building, I've 95% achieved what is "doable", naturally, with my rubbish genetics, optimised nutrition and decades long, refined training methodology, my FACT method.

So what's next?

Well, I'm 60. So I'm looking to HOLD what I've earnt after so many decades and now look at the last 5% .... primarily strengthening the Neck, Calves, Forearms and minutely increase strength on major lifts as long as humanly possible.

I'm also refining and perfectly my sleep and micronutrient balance. Nerdy s**t, but it's also incredibly important at any age.

Along with physique and health 'betterment', I'm also interested in the superficial, cosmetic side of this living sculpture I've created, otherwise know as 'me'.

Time to have fun with Ai.

Body cosmetics such as tattoos have always fascinated me. I would LOVE to begin a complete body tattoo project but still can't decide on the overall style aesthetic...but it would be cyberpunk/steam punk/cyborg inspired no doubt.

Some minor cosmetic surgeries to my eyelids as they've been badly affected by the flood of medications I need to control my glaucoma. Maybe a tummy tuck as being 8 - 9% my stomach skin has much to grip onto.

Taking on a Chrome Dome, going to a shaved or closely shaved head holds some attraction. Then creating an outlandish clockwork brain, skull cap tattoo seems equally appealing.

Designing my own fit/casual line of clothing has been top of mind for years. I had my own Spreadshirt sales site for around 2 years.

Older, strong and fit men's fashion is near non-existent, atrocious, unimaginative at best, but by and large, utterly garbage.

Still so much to consider and goals to chase down.

Age is not just a number, it's exactly a number. It's a precise date. its how many years you've been on the planetary sphere.

What are you doing in those years to better yourself?! What do you want to chase down in 1, 5, 20 years?!

Get to it, but start today as the universe doesn't give a s**t whether you do or don't but YOU should!
