With five locations in the Hobart region; Kingston, Newtown, Rosny Park, Salamanca and Huonville we are able to offer our patients a full range of physiotherapy and health services. A huge congratulations are in order for the amazing team behind the Hobart Toy Library!

This sensational initiative enables families to “hire” toys from their huge collection to not only ensure children remain engaged and interested with their toys, but it also minimises waste, landfill, and clutter around the home.

Toy libraries are such a powerful idea. Socially, they create connection, bringing families together, reducing isolation, and giving children access to a wide variety of toys that support learning, creativity and development without the pressure of constant buying.

They make play more inclusive and affordable for everyone.

By sharing instead of purchasing new toys, we reduce plastic waste, lower demand for manufacturing, and keep quality toys in circulation for longer.

Leap Health are really proud to partner with The Hobart Toy Library and ensure children have access to toys that are not only fun but also aid their development!

💫 Welcome to our newest physiotherapist: Hayley Hechter 💫

Hayley is originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and completed her physiotherapy studies at Stellenbosch University, graduating at the end of 2024. During her training, she had the opportunity to work at a rural clinic where she was involved in home visits within the local community.

Hayley has a strong interest in sports physiotherapy and, during her final year of study, completed an advanced practical placement focusing on sports-based physiotherapy in a private practice setting.

Outside of work, she is passionate about the outdoors and loves anything that gets her moving! Hayley enjoys hiking, running, playing hockey, and spending time in nature. She is happiest when she is in or near the ocean or having a barbeque with her family and friends.

Please join us in giving a big welcome to Rose as the newest member of the Leap Health Coastal Physiotherapy team 🌊🎉

Rose completed her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of New England in Armidale, NSW in 2025. She’s passionate about supporting people of all ages to manage their conditions in a safe, supportive environment, using holistic, evidence-based care. Rose enjoys working closely with individuals to develop tailored approaches that improve functional capacity and overall quality of life.

She’s eager to continue expanding her knowledge and skills across all areas of practice, with particular interests in women’s health, chronic disease and injury management, neurological conditions, and lifestyle management.

Originally from near the Gold Coast, Rose relocated to North-West Tasmania in 2021.
Outside of work, she enjoys horse riding, snowboarding, camping, hiking, cooking, and spending time in her vegetable garden 🌱🥕

🎟️ Ticket to Wellbeing – Stage 2 Now Open! 🎟️

The Tasmanian Government has confirmed that Stage 2 of the 2025–26 trial Ticket to Wellbeing program is now open! These vouchers can be utislised against our group exercise classes at Burnie, Launceston, New Town, Rosny Park and Kingston.

💙 About the program
The Ticket to Wellbeing program helps reduce the cost of sport and active recreation memberships and registrations for eligible older Tasmanians, supporting active, healthy lifestyles.

⚠️ Please note: If you received a voucher in Stage 1 (October 2025), you are not eligible to apply again in this stage.

👥 Who can apply?
You may be eligible if you:
✔️ Live in Tasmania
✔️ Are 65 years or older
✔️ Hold a Services Australia Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card

🎫 What’s included?
Eligible applicants can apply for a $100 voucher to use towards sport and active recreation membership and/or registration costs.
• Vouchers are limited
• Applications will close once all vouchers are allocated
• Vouchers must be used with an Approved Activity Provider by 5 June 2026
