When we treat facial tattoos the priority is always protecting the skin while the ink fades. The goal isn’t just removal, it’s healthy skin at the end of the process.
Protecting the skin is important no matter where a tattoo is on the body, but on the face it’s especially important as the skin is more delicate and always exposed.
Once I’ve done your laser treatment, the rest of the work is in your hands. Good aftercare is what helps maximise fading, healing and overall skin health.
While the sun is still shining in Tassie, it’s especially important to protect freshly lasered skin. Keep the area completely out of the sun for the first 2 weeks. After that, for the following 2 weeks, apply a good quality SPF 50+ sunscreen to the tattoo every day.
It might sound like a lot, but trust me, this step makes a huge difference to skin health and healing. Protect your skin now, thank yourself later.
