Enough is enough. 😠For years, businesses in Hobart’s city center have endured relentless vandalism by groups of teenagers. Despite repeated calls to the police, we are consistently met with disappointment, and at times, the situation deteriorates further. This ongoing issue forces us to confront a painful dilemma: should we relocate our business to protect it, or simply surrender to these challenges?

Hobart was once a city where I felt safe walking alone at night. Yet, as an Asian business owner, I increasingly feel targeted and vulnerable. How can we encourage immigrants to work hard and contribute to a community we cherish when safety and security seem out of reach?

I am sure we are not the only biz that struggles, I hope this post can at least raised a small awareness for people to unite to demand change, restore security, and rebuild the inclusive spirit that defines Hobart.
