The Hive Counselling

The Hive Counselling Holyoake has operated in Tasmania since 1988. Holyoake is a non-profit community based organisation.

The Hive Counselling (Formerly Holyoake Tasmania) is a leading counselling service for people whose lives are adversely affected by alcohol, drugs, gambling, or other addictive behaviours. Holyoake was founded in 1975 in Western Australia when a small group of alcohol and drug dependent people were concerned about the quality and quantity of help available to individuals and their families with problems related to alcohol, drugs, gambling and other addictive behaviour. Holyoake is not affiliated with any religious, political or commercial organisation. All Holyoake programs are based on a harm minimisation model.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, our staff are working remotely. We are available for contact from Monday 18 October until Wednesday 20 October 2021.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Holyoake is committed to keeping our staff and clients safe during these challenging times.

In order to minimise the spread of corona virus in the community. Holyoake has implemented the following strategies.

- We will not be providing face to face counselling sessions for the foreseeable future.
- Counselling sessions will be available via telephone or on-line.
