Recently we celebrated 40 years since the Australian Schools Health and Fitness Survey (ASHFS, the prelude to CDAH) was carried out in 109 schools across Australia! Many of you were able to watch the symposium 'CDAH@40: Evidence, Impact, Evolution' which took place at Menzies Institute for Medical Research in Hobart, and a handful of our CDAH cohort members were able to be there in person! Our Newcastle/Belmont clinic marked the end of our fieldwork in March. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to the 1,568 dedicated participants who attended health checks for this 30-year follow-up. Thank you also to the hundreds who contributed by doing surveys.

The end of 2018 and early 2019 has been a busy period with eight clinics run in NSW and one in the ACT. A huge thank you to all 437 participants who gave up their time to contribute to our research and undergo a health check.

We especially want to thank those who went out of their way to participate, particularly those attending at the Shellharbour, Belmont, and Flynn clinics. Many travelled hundreds of kilometres to participate - a truly amazing commitment to the study!

We're heading to our biggest state next! We'll be running health checks (3 hrs) in New South Wales during the next six months, at Rozelle 26 Oct, then Frenchs Forest, Berkshire Park, Woronora til Dec. Camden, Shellharbour and Newcastle will be early 2019. We'll also be visiting Canberra 28 Feb to 3 Mar.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful participants in Queensland who came along to have their free CDAH health check! We were delighted to welcome 364 participants, who attended at clinic sites across the state. We finished at our last site, Toowoomba, in August.

Thank you to the 96 wonderful participants who came along to our first Queensland clinic at Wooloowin! We are so appreciative of the time and effort you have committed. We're now setting up for four days at Mt. Gravatt Showgrounds, due to start bright and early tomorrow at 7am. Here's some before and after shots. From the west to the north! We're heading up to Queensland in June and July.
Clinics will be at 8 locations - Wooloowin (Kedron), Mt Gravatt, Gold Coast (Bundall), and Beenleigh (1 to 23 Jun). Then we head up to Townsville, Rockhampton, Gympie and Toowoomba (29 Jun to 4 Aug).
We've had a tremendous response so far - thanks to everyone who's booked in! Some days/sites are booked out!
