Yesterday, it was such a joy to hear every single one of Tina's patients leave her practice talking about how great they felt.
Hearing each woman make a point of saying how wonderful she felt got me thinking, "I really hope someone writes a review so other women can see how amazing she is."
Then BAM, that afternoon, this incredible review appeared in my messages. Thank you Performance Fitness. It was both a pleasure to read and a giggle that this actually happened.
It was the perfect validation, making an already positive day even more special for Tina!

What a great story. I bought my knitted breast from South Africa. How exciting to know we can get them on the Central Coast! Well done Bev, Caren and Sandra.

Meet Bev. Bev crochets breast models that our lactation consultants use to help support women with breastfeeding.

“I often made booties, beanies and toys for the special care nursery and I left my number for staff to call if they needed me to make more of anything,” Bev said.

“One day I received a call from one of the lactation consultants and she asked me if I made b***s. I had to ask her what she meant but once she explained I told her that if they were something she needed I was happy to make them.

“I found a pattern online and took in my first sample to show the staff. They told me it was four times bigger than what they needed so I found a new pattern they were happy with, and I’ve been making them in all different colours ever since. Apparently my first model is still on display in the ward.

“They have become so popular I now have some extra helpers to make them and I would like to acknowledge Caren and Sandra who have helped make them over the past couple of years.

“I remember what it was like learning to breastfeed my first baby and I'm so happy that I'm able to make something to make it easier for other women.”

Thank you Bev, Caren and Sandra for all your time and effort – our lactation consultants and midwives love your b***s!

Do you relate? This is an example of a post that is created in many different ways on Physios group pages because all Physios know this to be true. This is why our PhysioPilates courses were invented. Our clients come 1 x per week tonwork with a physio and learn ALL the things they need to help their bodies in a group to lower the cost and maximise the benefits.

If anyone is interested in signing up for a good cause, this is a great one.

Meet Eve. Eve is one of our wonderful physiotherapists and runs the free exercise classes we hold for local cancer patients through our CoastCanCare program, made possible thanks to funds raised through Dry July.

“I’ve seen firsthand how exercise empowers people undergoing cancer treatment - improving mood, reducing fatigue, and restoring confidence. It helps the body tolerate treatment better and supports a stronger recovery," Eve said.

"By supporting our CoastCanCare program through Dry July, you're helping fund local, physiotherapy-led exercise programs that give people the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to stay strong through treatment."

Dry July starts on Tuesday, and it isn’t too late to help support local cancer patients.
