If I had to prioritise the 3 most important habits for health and well-being, it would be:

โžก๏ธ Strength Train every 2-3 days
โžก๏ธ Sufficient and consistent daily water intake
โžก๏ธ Adequate daily lean protein intake

Do these things well, form consistent habits and it can lay a pretty good foundation for better health, well-being and physique!

Be patient, work on opportunities, change at a rate thatโ€™s sustainable for you!

What makes Rebalance different from your average PT?

1. We work towards getting our clients out of pain, through strengthening specific muscles and correcting their dysfunctions, as opposed to training through exercises just for the sake of it.

2. We integrate our clients physio, chiro or exercise physiologists rehab plans, into our sessions. We perform more of the right movements, to distance our clients away from further injury, or new injuries.

3. We are constantly conversing about other foundational habits that contribute to our clients results such as, water intake, stress management, nutrition, steps, sunlight, sleep quality, etc.

We all experience some type of food craving from time to time, so hereโ€™s a quick tip on the โ€˜๐——๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ปโ€™ strategy!

For example, itโ€™s 3pm and you would normally go and grab some chips from the vending machine, cafe or cupboard. Instead of just giving in ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ, set yourself a goal of delaying gratification for 15 minutes, or longer if you can. In that 15 minutes you can drink water, go for a walk, stretch, do some push ups or squats, a chore, or just get busy. What you may find is that 15 minutes later the craving is gone (or itโ€™s far less intense), which can then lead to a healthier choice of snack.

Now if 15 minutes later you choose to eat those chips, then at least youโ€™ve practiced the habit of delaying gratification. Practicing this habit will have ebbs and flows and sometimes youโ€™ll get a great outcome, sometimes maybe not, but keep at it and youโ€™ll see improvement.

Sorry that we canโ€™t go to lunch or dinner today, but being all together in the house waiting for this cyclone to pass, has to be just as good, surely? Me, Ella, Blake all locked inside getting cabin feverโ€ฆ.. this will be one to remember ๐Ÿ˜‚

14 Months old and his favourite room in the house is the gym!

Once upon a time I would have said the home gym is no place for a babyโ€ฆ. Too many dangerous things.

Me nowโ€ฆ. Let them play in there (supervised Ofcourse) and develop a fun relationship with it. Gym is for life and itโ€™s easier when it has been taught as a fun place to be!

Rolling a slam ball back and forth, is his thing!
