Stay Active This Summer with Hydrotherapy!

Hydrotherapy offers a supportive and refreshing way to stay active when it is warm outside. Moving in water helps raise your heart rate and keep your cardiovascular system engaged while reducing stress on your joints.

Because water supports your body weight, hydrotherapy suits people with joint pain or arthritis, those returning from injury, and anyone who wants gentle summer cardio. It also helps improve circulation, flexibility and balance.

Whether you are walking in the pool, using resistance equipment or following guided water exercises, hydrotherapy makes it easier to stay active, protect your joints and support your heart health throughout the season.

Ask us about hydrotherapy sessions at your next visit and enjoy low impact movement this summer.

Keeping Netballers on the Court 🏐

It was great spending the evening with Sporty Netball Club, talking all things injury prevention, warm-ups, and safe training.

Led by our physios Shay McLeod and Madison Handley, the session focused on practical, evidence-based strategies to help players and coaches reduce injury risk and stay consistent throughout the season. We covered why structured warm-ups matter, how non-contact injuries can often be reduced, and how programs like the Netball Australia KNEE Program support safer jumping, landing, and change of direction.

Our goal is simple, support players with the right preparation, smarter training habits, and early management of niggles so they can keep doing what they love, week after week.

A big thank you to the Sporty Netball Club players and coaches for getting involved and asking great questions. We love working alongside local clubs to build strong, confident, and resilient athletes.

Supporting local sport is something we’re passionate about. If your club is looking for physio-led injury prevention support, reach out to our team.

Regular, moderate exercise supports joint and muscle health more effectively than occasional high-intensity sessions.

Too often we equate “good exercise” with long, intense workouts but consistency matters more for long-term joint and muscle health.

Short, regular movement sessions help:
🔷Maintain healthy joints and muscle function
🔷Improve circulation and mobility
🔷Reduce stiffness and risk of injury
🔷Build a sustainable habit you can stick with for life

You don’t need to push to your limit every time. Slow and steady movement, whether it’s walking, Pilates, strength training or mobility work, adds up and keeps your body feeling better day after day.

Move consistently. Feel better longer. And if you want personalised guidance to build a movement plan that suits your body and goals, our physiotherapists are here to help.

Book an assessment today and make consistency your new superpower!

Starting exercise based on your current movement capacity helps reduce overload and supports more consistent progress over time.

Jumping straight into intense workouts can sometimes lead to frustration, stiffness or injury, especially if your body isn’t quite ready for it. That’s where physiotherapy comes in.

Our physiotherapists help you exercise smart by understanding how your body currently moves, identifying areas that need support, and guiding you on safe progression. This approach not only reduces the risk of overload, but also helps you build habits that are sustainable and beneficial in the long run.

Whether you’re returning to activity, managing ongoing niggles, or setting new movement goals, starting where you are gives you a stronger foundation for success.

Whether you want to move better, increase strength, manage pain, or stay active long term, starting where you are with expert guidance sets you up for success.
