Does your child's hand hurt or get tired when they write?
Is your child's writing difficult to read?
Does your child avoid writing homework or in class work?
Does your child rush their work?
Does your child hold their pencil in an odd position?
Has your child's teacher flagged concerns with pencil grip, handwriting or attention?

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, Little Achievers Occupational Therapy handwriting group intensives are for you!
Working on the underlying concerns that impact handwriting, these small groups work to address the concerns impacting success in handwriting and put in place strategies after the week intensive to further support development of these skills. These groups provide our kids a fun and interactive way to learn about handwriting that supports children's motivation to give this tricky skill a go!

At Little Achievers Occupational Therapy, our therapists are trained in Key Word Sign, enabling us to support our clients and families to further develop communication alongside guidance from their speech pathologist.

With this shared communicative approach, Key Word Sign helps maximise engagement, timing, sequencing, and reciprocity β€” particularly during the early stages of verbal language development. It provides children with an additional way to express themselves while their spoken language is emerging.

Our therapists use music, play, and fun as powerful tools to support language as a secondary goal, reinforcing speech objectives within meaningful, everyday activities. By embedding communication strategies into play-based therapy, we help maximise your child’s speech goals across all aspects of their life.

While speech and language are not our primary area of expertise, this additional training equips our team to better support families β€” not only in achieving play and occupational goals, but also in strengthening communication skills throughout the day.

πŸ“ž Contact us today on 8021 3630 or email reception@littleachievers.com.au to learn how we can support your child.
