🌸 Keto can be a powerful tool for women — especially during perimenopause

As hormones begin to shift, many women notice:
• Weight gain (especially around the middle)
• Energy crashes
• Mood swings
• Sleep issues

A low-carb or ketogenic approach can help by:
✨ Stabilising blood sugar
✨ Lowering insulin (key for fat storage)
✨ Supporting hormone balance
✨ Reducing inflammation

When your metabolism is supported, your hormones often follow.

Perimenopause doesn’t have to feel out of control — with the right approach, you can feel energised, balanced, and back in charge of your body.

Did you know your brain thrives on fat as fuel? The ketogenic diet, rich in brain-friendly fats like avocado and olive oil, provides a steady, efficient energy source in the form of ketones.

This may help:
✨ Support cognitive function
✨ Improve mental clarity
✨ Reduce inflammation in the brain
✨ Promote long-term brain health

There’s growing evidence that supporting metabolic health and providing the brain with the right fuel may play a role in reducing dementia risk.

It’s not just about what you eat — it’s about how you fuel your brain.

Want to support your brain and metabolic health with keto? Book a consult or join my Easy Keto Program.

This is what a real keto breakfast looks like.

No powders. No packets. Just fresh, whole foods that fuel your body properly.

This Mediterranean-inspired bowl is packed with healthy fats, quality protein, and nutrients to keep your energy steady.

Ingredients (serves 1):

2 eggs (fried, scrambled, or poached)
1/2 avocado, sliced
5–6 cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup cucumber, diced
2 tbsp feta cheese, crumbled
1 tbsp olives (green or black), sliced
1 tsp olive oil
Salt, pepper, and dried oregano to taste
Optional: a few fresh parsley or mint leaves

Instructions:
Prepare the base: Slice the avocado, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Place them in a bowl.

Cook the eggs: Fry, scramble, or poach your eggs to your liking. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of oregano.

Assemble the bowl: Add the eggs on top of the veggies. Sprinkle with feta, olives, and fresh herbs.

Drizzle with olive oil and add a final pinch of salt and pepper.

Add a few chopped nuts or seeds for extra crunch and healthy fats.

Swap feta for goat cheese if preferred.

Skin issues are often a gut issue in disguise.

If you’re dealing with acne, eczema, rosacea, or dull, inflamed skin — the problem may not just be what you’re putting on your skin, but what’s happening inside your body.

Your gut and skin are deeply connected through the gut–skin axis. When the gut is inflamed or imbalanced, it can show up as:
• Breakouts
• Redness and irritation
• Dry or reactive skin
• Slow healing

Why? Because gut health influences inflammation, immune function, and detox pathways — all of which affect your skin.

In clinic, I focus on:
✨ Healing the gut lining
✨ Supporting the microbiome
✨ Reducing inflammation
✨ Identifying food triggers
✨ Supporting liver detox pathways

When you work on the root cause, your skin can start to reflect true internal health. 💛

☀️ Vitamin D & Weight Loss — what’s the link?

Evidence suggests that having adequate vitamin D levels may support:
✨ Weight loss
✨ Reduced body fat
✨ Better metabolic health

Vitamin D plays a role in hormone balance, insulin sensitivity, and inflammation — all key factors when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off.

Many people are low in vitamin D without realising it… especially if you’re indoors a lot or not getting regular sun exposure.

Sometimes it’s not just about eating less — it’s about giving your body what it needs to function properly.

Want to check your levels and optimise your health for fat loss? Book a consult or join my Easy Keto Program today.

🩸 “Your blood tests all came back fine”… but you still don’t feel right.

Sound familiar? Many people leave their GP’s office with this reassurance — yet still struggle with fatigue, brain fog, low mood, or other unexplained symptoms.

Here’s the thing: GPs and labs often use “average ranges” — the results of all the people getting tested, many of whom are already sick. This means you could be technically “within range” but not actually healthy.

Take Vitamin B12 for example:
• Labs and GPs are often happy if it’s over 150 pmol/L.
• But a healthy, optimal level for energy, nerve function, and mood is over 600 pmol/L.

Naturopaths look at optimal ranges, not just “technically okay” ranges. That’s why we can spot imbalances before they become bigger health issues — and guide targeted nutrition, supplements, or lifestyle strategies.

Feeling off even when your labs say “fine”? Book a consult and let’s uncover the real story behind your numbers.
