Just a reminder that the dirt car park located at the back of the practice is not a patient car park.

It is for our staff which the large sign at the driveway indicates and is not designed for people with mobility issues to use.

We have plenty of car parks in the main car park which is cement, level and safe.

Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting a flu vaccine, free for all Queenslanders aged 6 months and older until 30 September 2026.

This year, for the first time in Australia, a needle-free flu vaccine in the form of a nasal spray will also be available and free for children aged two to five years (before they turn 6). This is an easy way to protect your child.

Good hygiene behaviours like washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick can help stop the spread of the flu, but for the best protection, get vaccinated. 💪

We have only received our private stock at this stage but can place anyone with a chronic disease or over 65 on the waiting list and call you once it arrives.

** HELP - NEED FOR ACCOMMODATION ***

The NQ IMG Prep Extension Program is a pilot initiative in QLD designed to support International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to bridge gaps in recency of practice and prepare for employment as Medical Officers within the Australian healthcare system.

Participants in the Extension Program have already completed a 12-week placement at Townsville University Hospital and are very excited to continue learning and working alongside the Ingham and Charters Towers teams as part of their rural extension.

The Director of this program is having trouble locating suitable accommodation for these Doctors while they are here on placement.

If you are able to help or know of accommodation available in town please contact myself officemanager@inghammedical.com.au or 4776 2101 so I can pass your details on.

Our staff come to work to provide a service and do their job (and they do it amazingly), they do not come to work to be threatened, spoken down to or sworn at.

We ask that before you choose to behave this way, you think if you would like to be treated the same way?

We have a zero tolerance policy and if you choose to behave this way you will be asked to leave and most likely won't be welcome back.

Some updates from Ingham Family Medical:

* From today, we are now a bulk billed clinic for eligible services.
Please contact reception if you have questions about which services are bulk billed.

* We understand how frustrating it is to get an appointment at the moment due to lack of GP's but promise we are focusing on recruitment and are working with 3 excellent candidates who we hope to have join us in the coming months.

Keep an eye on our page for updates regarding their progress and potential arrival dates.
