You will f**k up dude!

I know that you have been working hard this year trying to build the skills of emotional intelligence so that you can become a more present and connected partner and father. However, I cannot stress it enough how bloody important it is to find compassion and curiosity for yourself when doing so.

Too often, I bet that you are WAY to hard on yourself when you don't get things right straight away. But the reality is, you are still learning...
PLUS you will never get it right 100% of the time.

So, when you do f**k up (and you will), find compassion for yourself in it and then get curious, rather than beatting yourself up!!

2️⃣ Feel it in your body - notice the sensations
3️⃣ Recognise the thoughts - what story is attached?

Today marks 10 years of being a father, and it has been a crazy yet beautiful journey so far!!

Times I have carried so much, hid from my family & from others
Because I was trying to figure this all out on my own ..

This day last year, we were making one of the hardest trips ever... yet the most rewarding!!

After spending 18 months back in Éire, we packed our lives up AGAIN to come back to Australia.

To leave the place you know so well,
The land that birthed you,
The land that held you for so many of my younger years.
it was a bitter sweet time!!

I am so grateful for all of the love, support, and connection that our clan has felt in this past year, coming back to our beautiful wee community in Denmark, Western Australia.

These past few years have been tough mentally & emotionally.
Constantly dancing between two places,
Constantly in transition!

It has been so soothing to feel like we can finally put down our roots now, knowing where we are meant to be.

To see our children thrive
To feel held by our friends
To Build a business of connection& meaning to my community
All excites me so much for the coming year.

However, there will always be a massive part of my heart back in the ancient lands of home 💚

This week sees us back in Australia for 1 year after spending 18 months back in Ireland.

The past few years have been so huge for our wee clan
With many highs and many lows.

I've been doing a lot of reflecting over the past few weeks and making some changes in how ichoose to show up and use this platform 🙏
