Sunshine Cookie Co. is holding a Bake Sale & Donation Station to support families in need this Christmas.
While the holiday season is joyful for many, it can also be one of the hardest times of the year for those experiencing domestic or family violence, as well as families doing it tough. 💛

What a wonderful day we had celebrating with our participants, families, and community! The festive spirit was alive with special appearances from Santa 🎅 and The Grinch 💚 bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and lots of fun!

A huge THANK YOU to the Innisfail Police and Innisfail Firefighters for generously donating their time to showcase their vehicles and spend the day with everyone. Your support means so much to our community. 🚓🚒

Another big thank you to Rebel Café for donating the most delicious dessert and sandwich platters they were a massive hit! 🥪🍰

Today, Viv chose to stand and embrace one of the horses, creating a truly heartwarming moment.

With permission, she also purchased some carrots 🥕 to feed the horses, enhancing her connection with them and engaging respectfully with the animals.

It was a wonderful demonstration of confidence, care, and positive interaction within the community.

Ben has been working hard on learning how to use public transport and staying safe in the community and what better day to practice than on his 21st birthday! 🥳

Sallie rode with Ben on the train, supporting him as he built his confidence and independence step by step. He did an amazing job and enjoyed every moment of the journey!

Tiarna continues to amaze us with her growing independence! This Monday marked the first of (hopefully) many weekly cooking sessions with her support worker and together they absolutely nailed it.

They started with a simple box cupcake recipe, the perfect way for Tiarna to get familiar with the office kitchen and feel comfortable in the new space. Each week, they’ll work side by side to build her confidence and expand her skills.

Life Ur Way is a locally owned and operated, innovate Disability Support Provider servicing the Cassowary Coast and surrounds. Our team has vast experience in the delivery of disability services – if you are a person living with a disability or caring for someone with a disability, we provide a range of services tailored to your individual needs to assist you to live Life Ur Way.

Life Ur Way’s mission is to enable people to connect, participate and be a valued contributing member of their community. We will strive to assist individuals to have choice and control and support a ‘quality of life’ that is desired.

Our Vision is to be part of a world without barriers, where everyone has the opportunity to make choices. Life Ur Way will be a model service of supporting individuals to obtain and maintain life in their community and be responsive to the ever-changing needs of our community and of people with disabilities. Outcomes will be achieved through the investigation of innovative supports utilising a combination of ‘mainstream’, ‘informal’ and ‘formal’ paid services.

Life Ur Way assists people with disabilities to seek opportunities and explore innovative ways to live in their own homes, work in employment, participate in recreational activities and make their own choices.
