I have given up counting how many times I have been “factchecked” about the reef. These are really just desperate “factspins” and show we are having a big impact on public opinion. They would not bother otherwise. IPA research show these “factspins” are hopelessly biased too(see link below).

The trouble for the catastrophist is that their own data shows that the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) is fine – we have lost no reefs since European settlement, there are record amounts of coral, no species have been lost and there are no feral animals invasive species on the reef.
They have been bleating that the reef will be gone in a decade for six decades. Most people cannot remember a time when the reef wasn’t doomed.
Basically, they are snookered by the facts, and their past exaggeration, so these pseudo-scientific “factspins” are the best they can do. I almost feel sorry for them.
Time to get some proper audits done on reef science. People are well and truly waking up that many science institutions are reliable at one thing - exaggeration. And their sycophants in the “factcheck” units need to be taken to task.
The wheels are falling off the cult of environmental catastrophism right around the world. For example, 60% of Americans think that climate change is like a “religion” used to control people (see link below).
It would be nice to have a poll of North Queenslanders to see if they think that reef catastrophism has become like a religion used to smash our farmers and destroy the reputation of our most important tourist attraction.
