๐ What are we expecting?
Convergent winds about the northeast coast are resulting in severe thunderstorms.
Heavy rainfall is expected later today, which may lead to flash flooding and dangerous driving conditions across parts of the Cassowary Coast region, particularly coastal areas between Flying Fish Point and Cardwell.
If intense and sustained rainfall resumes, floodwater may inundate low-lying areas and homes.
Separate flood watch and marine warnings have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts?stateName=Queensland
