This week, let’s take a deep dive into trace minerals and how they impact your overall health. As always, we’ll also tell you which Kyäni favourite delivers these important nutrients and why it matters.

What Are Trace Minerals?

Trace minerals are compounds that the body only needs in small amounts but are essential to proper development and function. A lack of these important minerals can lead to a variety of concerns, as can an overabundance of them.

Essential Trace Minerals

There are nine primary trace minerals that are deemed essential for overall health, each with its own benefits:

Iron – Used by the body to make hemoglobin and myoglobin to carry oxygen throughout the body and to the muscles, respectively.Manganese – Supports bone and tissue health and helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels.Molybdenum – Helps the body break down amino acids and toxins.Copper – Enables the body to form red blood cells, and supports nerve, heart, and immune health.Iodine – Promotes healthy thyroid and brain function.Zinc – Supports a healthy inflammatory response and immune health.Cobalt – Enables the body to make red blood cells.Fluoride – Promotes dental health.Selenium – Antioxidant-rich support for heart, cell, cognitive, and immune health.

Where to Get Trace Minerals

Trace minerals are found in many foods, including whole grains, many fruits, andvegetables, nuts, dairy products, as well as meat and seafood. They can also be incorporated into your diet using supplements. As with all nutrients, it’s important to ensure the supplement not only has the right types of ingredients, but also the right amount.

Trace Minerals in Kyäni Products

At Kyäni, we pride ourselves in delivering the highest quality products that contain ingredients that benefit overall health. Trace minerals are a key component of our diets, and therefore, important nutrients to include in our products.

Discover the power of antioxidants

Kyäni Sunrise® is a key pillar in our Triangle of Health for good reason - it’s loaded with antioxidants.

Why is that so important? Antioxidants are molecules that help protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.

Free radicals, known as oxidants, are molecules that have unpaired electrons (quick science recap: electrons are better in pairs). Simply put, these unstable molecules are on a mission to damage healthy cells, proteins, and DNA. But antioxidants bind and neutralise them, so they no longer seek out their victim cells. Cool, right?

Antioxidants and Kyäni Products

Nature has created a variety of adaptations that help protect plants from the harsh stresses of the environment. These protective pigments are one of the key antioxidant ingredients in Kyäni Sunrise®.

Kyäni Sunrise® is an absolute powerhouse in the fight against free radicals, featuring:

Wild Alaskan Blueberry (a 5 times more potent antioxidant, than cultivated blueberries)10 water-soluble vitamins60+ minerals and22 powerful superfoods.

In a delicious blend, Kyäni Sunrise® is the perfect way to kickstart your day and providing your body with a morning boost.
