2025 is now behind us - and what a year it was.

For many, it brought big moments, challenges, growth, and change. For Unscripted Supports, it was no different. This past year has been one of transformation, reflection, and genuine progress.

We moved into a new space. We welcomed new clients. And we farewelled some staff. At the time, those departures felt uncertain, but hindsight really is a wonderful thing. Change often brings clarity, and in our case, it brought opportunity.
We already had a strong foundation of dedicated, compassionate, flexible, and experienced team members. Over the past year, we added some truly wonderful personalities who have helped shape the next chapter of Unscripted Supports. Because of this, we’ve seen clients thrive, communication strengthen, procedures improve, and best of all, a renewed sense of teamwork and positivity across the organisation. Our culture has shifted in a way that feels energising and hopeful.
Management also took the time to reassess our goals and vision. Through an (almost) full‑team session, we explored what matters most to our staff and what we want Unscripted Supports to stand for. The result is a refreshed mission and vision that genuinely reflects our values and the culture we continue to build together.
Another exciting change is the introduction of our new uniform shirts. For a long time, we believed uniforms might draw unwanted attention to clients in the community. Our perspective has evolved. We now see uniforms as a symbol of professionalism, pride, and accountability an outward sign of the high standard of care we provide. They also give the community a chance to recognise and appreciate the incredible work you do every day.
Compliments, concerns, feedback - uniforms open the door for all of it, and that transparency strengthens our “village.”
Our signature will be visible, reminding the community that Unscripted Supports is not only a trusted provider for people with disability, but also a workplace where people want to belong.
I am deeply grateful to everyone for your contribution to this year of growth.
Here’s to the year ahead and to continuing this positive momentum together.

Happy 2026 to you all
from
Janet and the team at Unscripted Supports

Yeah the Boys!
The weekend was all for the boys.
So busy having fun that we forgot to get photos, but Saturday was for monster trucks at the Rocklea Showgrounds and Sunday was an adventure to Lone Pine.

Support Workers: The Backbone of Compassionate Care

Below is an email one of our delightful staff members sent through to management. This is not the first time we have had this sort of feedback but we wanted to share it and use it as a reminder that Support Workers are amazing, perform a wonderful role within our communities and are often not recognised for such!

“I just wanted to share a lovely experience I had last Monday while out shopping with Client 1 and Client 2.
While at the checkout at Coles, a random lady came up to me and commended the way I was supporting the Clients. She mentioned how calm and patient I was, and how I maintained Client 2's dignity and comfort throughout, as Client 2 was repeatedly asking about seeing their Mum.

She also shared that she has a son with a disability and said she was genuinely impressed with my attitude and the way I interacted with the Clients. She even asked which company I worked for, and I proudly told her, “Unscripted Supports.”

It was such a nice moment that reminded me how meaningful this work is and how our efforts really do get noticed by others.
I would like to thank you and the team for your continued guidance and support, it really helps me grow in confidence and reaffirm my passion, especially as I continue working towards my nursing career.”

Support work isn’t always seen, but when it is it’s powerful. It’s emotional. It’s human.

To all the support workers out there: you are the quiet heroes. You show up with compassion, patience, and strength every single day. You help people feel safe, respected, and valued. And even when no one’s watching, your impact is real.

Let’s keep lifting each other up. You never know who’s watching, and how much your kindness means.

A Heartfelt Celebration for Lydia
Yesterday, our Management team had the immense honour of celebrating a milestone moment with our dear DSW Lydia - her graduation! 👩🏽‍🎓🌟
Far from her homeland and family, Lydia has shown incredible strength, dedication, and grace, so it was only fitting that we, her work family, came together to surround her with love, pride, and joy on this special day.

After the ceremony, we continued the celebration at the vibrant Wau Kitchen - an African fusion gem that brought us closer to Lydia’s roots.
The flavours were bold, and the dancing unforgettable! 💃🏾🍲🪘

Lydia, thank you for inviting us into your world and allowing us to be part of your journey. We are so proud of you and wish you every success as you step into this next chapter. Your light shines bright, and we’re lucky to witness it. 🌍❤️

🎨 Art Day: Where Creativity Meets Connection 🌍
Last Wednesday, we stepped away from our desks and into a world of color, culture, and collaboration. Art Day wasn’t just about painting canvases—it was about painting new perspectives.
In a vibrant celebration of creativity, our team explored artistic expressions in collaboration with Anne Leon from Nhuralama. Learning about indigenous art symbols, we immersed ourselves in traditions that speak to the soul and tell stories beyond words.
But the real masterpiece? The bonds we built.
🤝 Through shared laughter, thoughtful reflection, and hands-on creation, we deepened our understanding of each other—not just as colleagues, but as individuals shaped by diverse backgrounds and experiences. Art became our bridge to empathy, our tool for storytelling, and our spark for innovation.
This day reminded us that when we embrace cultural richness and nurture human connection, we don’t just build better teams—we build a better future.
Here’s to more moments that inspire, unite, and transform. 💫
