π Weβre Growing at New Kompas! π
Iβm so excited to officially introduce Amy Durham, who has joined New Kompas as a Support Coordinator.
Amy brings over 5 years of experience in disability support, with a strong focus on psychosocial disability and mental health. She works in a trauma-informed, person-centred way and builds strong, trusting relationships with participants and families.
She also has a genuine love for working with children and young people, supporting them in ways that feel safe, empowering and consistent. This is especially important for families navigating complex needs β and Amy does this beautifully.
Her background includes:
β¨ Mental health and emotional regulation support
β¨ Neurodivergent support (ASD, ADHD and more)
β¨ Behaviour support and daily living assistance
β¨ Advocacy and empowering people to make their own choices
β¨ Strong documentation and professional practice
Amy has also worked as a self-employed support worker, so she understands compliance, service agreements, and the practical side of delivering quality supports.
She is currently completing her Life Coaching certification and is planning further study through a Diploma of Mental Health β showing her commitment to continuous professional growth.
What I personally love about Amy is her empathy, reliability, and calm, grounded presence. She aligns beautifully with New Kompas values: respect, dignity, consistency, and participant-centred practice.
Please join me in welcoming Amy to the New Kompas community π
