March, you were something special 💙

What an incredible month it’s been for West Moreton Health Foundation as we came together for our Men’s Health Campaign. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing guest speakers who shared their personal stories, partners who held events and to all our supporters who helped break the stigma and spark vital conversations around men’s health.

Because of YOU we’ve raised over $35,000 to support men’s health initiatives in our region.

To wrap up the month, our Easter Bunny made special visits to our rural hospitals, delivering chocolates, smiles, and a small token of thanks to the wonderful staff and patients. It’s our way of showing that we’re here for our community — always working to give back and support healthcare across the West Moreton region 🐰💛

We’re incredibly grateful to the amazing team at NGU Real Estate - Ripley & Surrounds for jumping on board in support of Men’s Health Month 💙

Charles Kimmorley and his team have shown a genuine commitment to giving back, pledging ongoing support to the Foundation and the vital healthcare services supporting our West Moreton community.

As part of their initiative, NGU Ripley is donating $100 from every property sold throughout the month 🏡

Today, Scott and Emily caught up with the team over coffee at Cups of Care Ripley and were presented with an incredible $1,400 raised from March sales 👏

We’re truly excited about what’s ahead and look forward to working together into the future.

A huge thank you to Club Parkview for hosting the WMHF Men’s Health Charity Golf Day. Together, we raised an amazing $4,370 for men’s health, bringing our monthly total to over $35,000 — with a few days still to go!

Friday’s Men’s Health Luncheon at CSI - Club Services Ipswich was a powerful reminder that community is stronger together 👏

With over $2,000 raised, we’ve now reached $30,000 for Men’s Health Month — with one week still to go.

A heartfelt thank you to guest speakers Jackson Weir-White, owner and head coach at Asylum MMA and professional fighter, and Michael Katsidis, former world champion boxer, for sharing their stories so openly and helping break down stigma.

Our very own WMHF Cups of Care Cafe Supervisor, Peta, has a goal of $2000 to reach for Men's Health this month!

Peta is fundraising in memory and celebration of her late husband, Tony, who passed away in 2023 from Metastatic Colorectal Cancer. Peta and her three sons band together each year on 15th March and declare "We shave because he was brave" to honour Tony. This year, Peta is fundraising for West Moreton Health Foundation's Men's Health campaign, something she believes to be so important and meaningful 💙

"Tony, like many men, brushed off obvious symptoms and ignored signs. Men need to man up and focus on their health more. After Tony died so quickly I had many male friends say they were stepping up and getting necessary checks and if that helps one person it matters."

Peta has already reached an incredible $1604 but there is still plenty of time to support and help reach her goal of $2000 ✊ Your support helps raise awareness, fund research, and invest in equipment that improves care close to home.

Ipswich café Hoe Inn Food Bar is proudly supporting Men’s Health this month by donating $2 from every coffee sold to the Foundation ☕

Every Wednesday and Friday until the end of March, coffees purchased between 6am - 11am will help make a positive impact and support men’s health across the West Moreton region.

The fantastic team at NGU Real Estate Ipswich Central have also jumped on board and will match the coffee donations right through to the end of March 🙌

A huge thank you to our local businesses for getting behind this initiative and helping raise awareness and vital funds that go straight back into supporting our healthcare system.

Alfie’s Legends Lunch delivered a fantastic afternoon of sport, storytelling and community spirit on Friday 👏🏉

We were honoured to be the beneficiary of this event hosted by The Q, bringing people together to support men’s health across our region.

Held as part of Men’s Health Month, the lunch featured an incredible line-up of sporting legends who shared stories from their careers and highlighted the importance of speaking up and supporting men’s health and wellbeing. A huge thank you to keynote speaker, NRL legend Shane Webcke, along with panellists Allie Brigginshaw, Ben Ikin, Jimmy “The Pumper” Cassidy, Simon Black, Stephen Moore and Tony Brett for lending their voices to such an important cause.

Guests enjoyed a premium three-course lunch while supporting us through Men’s Health merchandise, live auctions, raffle prizes and generous donations. The generosity and enthusiasm in the room showed just how strongly our community stands behind improving men’s health across West Moreton. 🙏🏻

Thank you to The Q for hosting this event and choosing us as their charity partner. We are also grateful to everyone who purchased tickets, attended, and enthusiastically supported the raffles and auctions on the day.
