🧠 3 Hacks for Finding a Provider That Gets You (Neurodivergent Style)

You deserve support that understands your brain — not one that tries to reshape it, just thoughts from our amazing Support Coordinator.💛

Just a little question today…

Have you had a moment of calm or joy this week? ✨

Not a big, perfect moment.
Just something small.

🌿 A quiet cup of tea
☀️ A laugh with someone you love
🎶 A song that made you smile
🚶 Fresh air outside
💛 A moment where you felt okay

Life can be busy, heavy, and overwhelming sometimes — for participants and families — and that’s exactly why these little moments matter so much.

If you haven’t had one yet… that’s okay too.
Maybe this is your reminder to find even one tiny thing today that feels soft, safe, or peaceful.

What’s been a small calm or happy moment for you lately? 💛🌈

One of the first things families say after meeting Narelle is:
"I finally felt heard." 💬

That’s because Narelle creates a space where people can be honest, open, and themselves.
No judgement.
No pressure.
No ticking boxes. ❌📋

Just real conversations about what’s happening, what’s needed, and how to build a better support network around each person. 🌱
Her passion for helping people shines through every meet and greet.

This is support coordination with compassion at its core. 💛

✨ If you or someone you love needs support coordination, we’re here.
We work with participants Australia-wide and have strong provider networks across the country.

Yes, We Help With the Real-Life Stuff

It’s not all cooking and swimming (although that part is pretty great).

We also support people at home with:
🏡 Daily routines
🛁 Personal care
🍳 Life skills
🏠 SIL and ILO supports
💬 Complex care needs

But we don’t just “do the tasks.”

We help people:
Build routines that actually make sense
Create calmer mornings
Learn skills at their own pace
Feel more in control of their day

Sometimes the biggest win isn’t a big outing.
Sometimes it’s:
“I got up, showered, and made breakfast today.”

And that’s huge. 💛

Fresh Air, Smiles & Stronger Minds 🌿

Today’s walk with one of our amazing participants ended exactly how we love to see it…
Big smiles, relaxed shoulders, and that calm, happy energy you get after moving your body. 💛

Getting out for a walk isn’t just about steps. It’s about:
🌞 Fresh air and sunshine
🧠 Clearing the mind and reducing stress
💬 Having great conversations along the way
💪 Building strength and confidence
😊 Feeling proud of what you’ve achieved

By the end of the walk, the difference was clear — more relaxed, more chatty, and feeling good about the day. Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest impact.

At SociABLE Society, we believe movement should be fun, supportive, and at your own pace. Whether it’s a short stroll, a big adventure, or just getting out of the house, it all counts.

Because a healthy body helps build a happy mind. 🌈

A Well-Deserved Reset with Short-Term Respite 🌿
Over the past few days, two of our wonderful participants have been enjoying a much-needed short-term respite stay with the My Choice Disability Support team. And the difference a change of environment can make has been beautiful to see. 💛
Short-term respite isn’t just about staying somewhere different for a few nights.

It’s about giving participants the chance to:
🌟 Recharge and reset in a supportive environment
🤝 Build new friendships and social skills
🏡 Experience a safe, comfortable space away from home
🎯 Try new activities and build independence
🧠 Improve mental wellbeing and confidence
😄 Have fun, relax, and enjoy new experiences
For many participants, short-term respite can be a powerful reset button.
It helps reduce stress, build routine, and create positive memories in a supportive and neuroaffirming space.

When you’re part of My Choice Disability Support and SociABLE Society, you can expect:
💛 Warm, welcoming, and inclusive environments
🧠 Neuroaffirming, participant-led supports
🎨 Fun, meaningful activities that build confidence
🤝 Genuine friendships and community connections
🌈 A place where you can be yourself and feel supported
Because sometimes, a short break can make a big difference.
If you or someone you support could benefit from a reset, our short-term respite options may be just what you’re looking for.

What are you doing today to move your body and clear your mind?

Sometimes we wait for the “perfect” time, the “right” motivation, or the “energy” to get active… but the truth is, movement doesn’t have to be big or complicated to make a difference. A small step outside, a gentle stretch, or a short walk can completely shift your mood.

When we move our bodies, we’re not just exercising — we’re helping our brains regulate emotions, release stress, and build confidence.

Here are a few simple ideas to get you started today:

🌿 Go for a short walk around your block or local park
🎧 Put on your favourite music and have a little dance in the lounge room
🏀 Shoot some hoops or kick a ball around
🏊 Go for a relaxed swim
🧘 Do a 5–10 minute stretch session
🚶 Walk to a nearby café instead of driving
🌞 Sit outside in the sun and do some gentle movement or stretches

It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It doesn’t have to be long.
It just has to be something.

Your body and mind will thank you for it. 💛

What’s one small thing you can do today to get moving?
Tell us in the comments and inspire someone else.

Support coordination isn’t just about services and paperwork.
It’s about people. 💬
Narelle brings warmth, compassion, and real-life understanding to every person she meets.
Her lived experience in the NDIS means she knows the system isn’t always easy. She understands the emotions, the challenges, and the wins that come along the way. 🌈

When she sits down with families, you can feel it.
She listens deeply. 👂
She speaks kindly. 💛
And she builds real connections without judgement. 🤝
Because everyone deserves a support coordinator who truly cares.

📞 Looking for a support coordinator who leads with heart?
We support participants across Australia and can connect you with the right providers wherever you live.
