🏇💐 Melbourne Cup Magic at Taralga! 💐🏇
The race that stops the nation definitely didn’t stop us! Our residents rocked their best fascinators, dapper hats, and fancy ties for a Cup Day full of smiles, sweeps, games, scrumptious food and serious horse banter. 😉🐎
We hold our very own residents race in the morning then enjoy a luncheon freshly prepared by the Taralga Kitchen. Many delicious options were on offer to choose from including Taralga's iconic ribbon sandwiches and prawn cocktails, and of course an array of sweet treats for dessert.
The race had us on the edge of our seats with anticipation, ending with loud cheers, a few disappointed sighs, and some "better luck next year"...
We may not have picked all the right horses, but we definitely backed the best company and the tastiest lunch!
Thank you to the Activities Team and everyone involved in making today such a wonderful time, and to the kitchen team for putting together such a scrumptious spread.

Here at Taralga this year!

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we take a moment to honour our fallen service men and women. 🌹

RSL Sub-Branches across the Western Downs will be holding Remembrance Day services to commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrfice for our country.

Services will be held on Tuesday 11 November in Bell, Dalby, Jandowae, Chinchilla, Tara, Meandarra, Miles and Wandoan.

Still seeking Halloween participants!
Taralga is making a list of houses that are happy to recieve trick or treaters this Halloween.
Children will stop at Taralga first to collect the treats and the list ( our residents love seeing the children and costumes!). They will then use the list to know which houses to visit.

Today was an adventure!
We used our bus donated by Wambo Wind Farm which made it so easy to travel to Kingaroy.
We enjoyed morning tea in a park, checked out one of the lookouts, went to the Cinema to watch Kangaroo and finished with lunch at Kingaroy RSL.
Such a great day!
A special thank you to Kingaroy Cinemas for being so helpful and kind while we were there!

Taralga's youngest and dare we say cutest resident 'Dropsy' has been spotted today hanging out in the gum trees and wandering the grounds. The young joeys mum wasn't far away either. We think they agree that Taralga is a wonderful home for many shapes and sizes.
