Seventeen years of caring for our community and building a culture we’re incredibly proud of.

Right now, we’re lucky to have a fantastic team of doctors, nurses, and admin living our values of care, compassion, teamwork, and trust — and of course, wonderful patients who make it all worthwhile. 💙

🏉 From Wallabies to Walking Groups 👟

At The Surgery at Jerra, we know that caring for others starts with caring for ourselves. That is why we invited former Wallaby and motivational speaker Ben Alexander to talk with us about self-care, burnout, and finding the energy that sustains good work.

It was a timely reminder that general practice is not just about patients, it is also about people. Our team. Our wellbeing. Our culture.

So... we have turned words into action and started a staff walking group three times a week at lunch. Fresh air, a laugh, and a reset to keep us well enough to keep caring for others.

👩‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ When three classes of kindy kids stop by, you know you are part of the heart of the community.

Dr Caitriona Duffy and Nurse Marianne hosted today’s walking excursion, answering all sorts of questions from curious little minds.

The most memorable? “What happens if you go to the doctor and they can’t do anything to help you?”

That is the beauty of general practice. It is not always about having all the answers, but about walking alongside patients with care, honesty, and compassion.

💀 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃-𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒💀

At TSAJ, we don’t just work together, we celebrate, laugh and show up for our community.

Last weekend, our own Kylie Yates was pulling the strings as the puppetmaster for the annual Jerra Schools Trivia Night. More than 200 trivia buffs packed the Jerra school hall for a Day of the Dead themed evening of fun. TSAJ had two tables in the mix and yes, the doctors’ table rose to the occasion and took out the win 🏆.

The real victory was community spirit. Together, Jerra raised around $20,000 for Jerrabomberra Public School and Jerrabomberra High School P&Cs. TSAJ has been a proud sponsor of this event for years and we love being part of something bigger than medicine.

This is life in the TSAJ family — supportive colleagues, strong community ties and a culture that makes general practice more rewarding.

This week the Kindy kids from Jerrabomberra Public School visited us on their walking excursion to the “little shops.” Dr Renee quizzed them with “True or Poo,” Nurse Marianne showed off some first aid and liquid nitrogen, and the kids asked some brilliant questions.
