Authentic Wild and Free

Authentic Wild and Free Authentic Wild & Free Equine Facilitated Learning and Empowered Life Coaching. Partnering with horses opens up a space where honesty and trust reside.

Empowering women in a supportive and challenging way to break out of old mindsets and self limiting beliefs which have been holding them back and no longer serve them. To mentor women and girls to delve deep and discover their true authentic self, to learn to embrace that woman in all of her glorious beauty and to live confidently and joyously, honoring the wild woman within. Horses as our guides within this space provide us with honest feedback, help us to learn to be present in the moment and among many things, teach us about the importance of being part of a herd (family/society), focus, emotional regulation, reading body language, effective communication, and possibly the most important one of all - the art of accepting us as we are. A very special and heartfelt birthday wishes to my very special man, Moet. 19 years old today! He's been with me for 11 years and what an adventure it has been. He's a challenging horse - not easy to ride and he makes me work for everything we have together. He's taught me how to be a better leader, leading from a place of quiet strength and love. Being with him out on the endurance trails gave me the feeling of flying and I learnt what it felt like to have a truly beautiful partnership with another sentient being who loved to fly as much as I did. My partnership with Moet is one of my most treasured and I have learnt so much from him and become a better human being for all of my time spent with him. He's taught me to be a better communicator, but most importantly how to be an excellent leader.....I wasn't a good leader until he taught me how. Forever my partner in adventures, I love you Moet with all of my heart :)

Taking the first step towards something we want to achieve, is the hardest step. Just remember to stay true to you, listen to your inner calling and keep taking those little steps forward, and you will find the way to your dream.

Sometimes, it just takes one person to ask - are you okay?
I want to share with you, that I have struggled these past few weeks, coping with the passing of a beloved family member. There has not been a day that I have not cried, nor a day when I have not asked, Why? The burden of my own grief has been compounded by helping my daughter through her grief with the passing of her cousin.
SO - I am asking you, are you ok? I am sharing with you that it is ok, to not be ok. There are times when it all feels a little overwhelming. This is the time to reach out to someone you trust.
I'm doing my best to lean on dear friends who are helping me through my grief, and I am so deeply grateful for them.

Are you OK?
Do you need someone to talk to?

If you are a support person to someone, remember it's not always about talking and trying to 'fix' the problem, it can just be about sharing time together, having a laugh, listening to your friend...just 'being there' with them can make all the difference.

And, most importantly if you need professional help:

A deep breath allowing the belly to rise and the lungs to fill is one of the best ways to relax our body and mind when we may be feeling a little overwhelmed and stressed. It's actually one of the easiest and most effective ways to calm ourselves when we are feeling under pressure, and best news is it can be done anywhere and at anytime with great results.
During our EFL sessions we explore the value of deep breathing and how it releases tension in us, and how the horses interact with us after engaging this technique.

Could this be the face of total relaxation!
Olly knows the importance of self care and taking time out when he needs a break. Olly always let's me know when he's in need of a little break and one of his favourite things to do is to have acupuncture with our wonderful vet, Emily from Emily's Veterinary Acupuncture Service - EVAS Acupuncture helps Olly release tension from his muscles which keeps him feeling supple and relaxed! He also loves Emily because she gives him licorice! LOL!

What's your favourite Self Care ritual?
