Most of the time they mean well.
But, it’s so easy to start second guessing yourself, especially when you’re already juggling family, work, and just trying to eat something that isn’t cold toast.

Proof that small changes actually stick (and mums can do this without the chaos).

Chloe is a busy mum. School drop offs, after school circus, end of year madness, you know the vibe. She didn’t overhaul her life, or start a diet that required a spreadsheet. She just made simple, repeatable changes that fit into the life she already had.

Here’s what changed for her
✅️ More afternoon energy, no 3pm crash.

When I first started working with mums, I saw so many doing all the things. Meal prepping like they were auditioning for MasterChef, cutting out every food they actually enjoyed, and squeezing workouts into the 7 minutes before someone yells “MUM WHERE’S MY SHOE?!”

And honestly?
They were exhausted, overwhelmed, and still not seeing the results they were working so hard for.

What I realised is this
Those “healthy” habits everyone talks about?
They were actually making weight loss harder.

Busy mums don’t need more tasks.
We don’t need a stricter plan.
We need something that fits into real life. School runs, birthdays, sports days, Christmas concerts, and the occasional dinner that is just toast or cereal.

Last night I’m in the kitchen chopping veggies, when my pre-teen strolls in and goes:
“Mum… why do we even have vegetables? Nobody likes them.”

Cue me holding a carrot stick like it’s a microphone.
“Excuse me? I like them. And so will you, once you stop living off noodles and toast.” 😂

Here’s the thing though. Mum life at this stage is wild. Between school projects, sports, and snack raids, it’s way too easy to just grab whatever’s quick and forget about your own goals.

But I’ve learned this.
When you keep things simple (hello easy meals + realistic portions), you actually can lose weight, feel good, and still survive the “Mum, what’s for dinner?” interrogation every single night.

Because let’s be honest, if I can win the veggie debate with a pre-teen, I can definitely help you find balance with food too. 😉

Mums, let’s be real. Life is messy. Between snacks for the kids, a late night treat because why not, and dodging vegetables ourselves, it’s easy to feel like you’ve completely blown your progress.

Here’s the truth.
One day (or even one week) doesn’t define you. Your body doesn’t “remember” every chocolate slice or extra scoop of pasta. What matters is what you do consistently, not perfectly.
