GUESS WHOSE BACK 🎵 .
Both these photos are of Brucey, first one was the day I found him eyes shut not responsive breathing laboured and we knew we had to get him to the vet. second one is just now.
what a difference a week can make.
Birds may fall ill rapidly but they also recover fast by the looks.
Wouldn’t believe it’s the same bird 🐦 🥰

Brucey is obviously not happy about his trips to the vet but he’s still with us and flying 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 he came in landed briefly but he wasn’t hanging around. Even if his trust in us is broken I’m so happy because it looks as though he’s coming good.
The vet supplied us with medication for him but got no idea how to administer it when he’s off us?

Update on Brucey,
This morning he was sitting on a low branch in the mango tree at the shed fluffy and quiet he happily got on my hand his condition hadn’t changed since yesterday so now his on his way to an Avian vet. Hopefully they can help the little fella.
We wrote a list of his symptoms and questions from your message as to what it may be so thanks and hopefully he’s ok 🥰

Brucey is not well.
He has been lethargic not singing breathing laboured and had well I guess you’d call it a cough.
We took him to the vet they took XRay no blockage so they wormed him and gave antibiotics but he is not improving.
He is not flying around he is just staying around the shed eyes
often closed.
Anyone know what could cause symptoms like this in a bird?
I did see him with mouse last week and I yelled at him because I was worried it may have been baited but he sat on Neighbours roof with it ignoring me.
He is not a captive bird lives alomg the base of the mountain and he does magpie stuff most of the time he just flys in to say Gday most days.
