The STOP Domestic Violence Conference 2025, held under the theme ‘Turning the Tide: Supporting Survivors and Shaping Change,’ was more than a theme-it was a movement:-a powerful reminder that safety and respect are everyone’s responsibility. It was a great pleasure to be part of the voice for change, standing alongside survivors, advocates, practitioners, researchers, and community leaders. Together, we shared knowledge, amplified voices, and strengthened our collective resolve to shift the current from silence and stigma toward healing and empowerment. This theme calls us to unite in compassion and action, shaping communities where resilience, dignity, and hope can thrive. Truly, we are turning the tide. Happy 2025, the Jubilee Year. According to Chinese astrology the year of the Snake which is associated with transformation, renewal and spiritual growth. Snakes are known for shedding their skin which symbolises the process of letting go of the old and embracing the new. Hence if you haven’t reached out for support it’s not a weakness. Don’t struggle alone, talk to someone, professional help is out there!
