If you've ever felt you had to step in and become the loving, supportive parent to your own inner child, you are not alone. It's also not your fault. The simple act of becoming aware of reparenting yourself is knowing you are worthy of more 💫

I know this journey well. In my early twenties, I reached a point where I knew I deserved more. I was done with accepting certain behaviours with toxic relationships, and with living in my current reality that was not working in my favour. I decided to choose a different path. I was done with the same lessons and done with feeling drained by the same situations with relationships and career.

This path isn't easy. It's not always clear, and there's no rule book. But your journey is uniquely yours, and when you know it's time to take the leap, you just do it. For me, this meant:

🫶 Finding support to reconnect with my core beliefs and values.

🫶 Limiting interactions or completely leaving certain relationships, while nurturing those that mattered most.

🫶 There were belief systems that weren't even mine. I just believed them. And over time they felt unaligned

🫶 Learning to manage my emotions in a healthier way. Ways that felt more true for me

🫶 Committing to my spiritual path, finding modalities that worked for me and connecting with my higher self.

🫶 Practicing self-compassion and forgiveness on a regular basis. It's not a one off session where you feel 'healed'.

Lately I have been so caught up with the ‘chaos’ of life that I noticed I was forgetting to come back to my go-to spiritual practices. Between my upcoming surgery, dealing with food poisoning, school drop offs and the everyday upkeep of the house, I simply forgot my practices and noticed my internal signals going all out of whack and easily went into auto mode!

When I had come to this realisation, I gave myself a few minutes, took a few deep breaths and completed my grounding technique. It is my simple go to practice so I can easily regain clarity, connect within and prioritise my day without overwhelm 💛

Why staying “safe” feels unnatural in your body

This took me years to understand.

Everything I was taught felt like the complete opposite of what my internal system was trying to scream at me.

But we ignore those nudges, don’t we?

Because it’s all we’ve ever known.

We were conditioned to:
• Always look busy
• Find a job to prove our worth
• Stay in relationships because it’s easier… or comfortable

And when we override our instincts long enough, “safe” starts to feel suffocating.

Because your body knows.

When you choose not to see things differently, when you silence your natural instincts, you do yourself a disservice.

You were never meant to blindly follow a system that disconnects you from yourself.

Once I understood this, my external life stopped making sense.

Things shifted subtly.
I shifted.

💛I chose to see from calm instead of reaction.
💛To move from truth instead of fear.
💛To make decisions that felt internally safe and not externally approved.

That’s where the real work is.

Not creating or doing things for external safety.

But recalibrating your internal system so your choices feel true.

I work with the ones who know something has to change.
The ones who feel the autopilot creeping back in.

This isn’t about fixing you.
Or molding you into someone else.

It’s about recalibration💫
