We are really pleased to announce that after a long battle with Woolworths insurance, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority has ruled in our favour and ordered to pay our claim. We would like to thank Morgan Jones from Walsh & Blair Lawyers for his expert assistance. However, we remain disappointed that it should take 18 months and a legal team to make a simple insurance claim! We look forward to sharing updates on our progress to redevelop this important landmark.

We've received devastating news today from Woolworths insurance. They have refused our insurance claim as there were unrelated people living in the property. Unfortunately, this is going to make it difficult for us to repair the damage. I recommend that if you have a Woolworths insurance policy that you look very carefully at the fine print. It was a sad day for us and a sad day for the Junee community. We know how important this building is to Junee. We will do our best to save the building if we can.
Thanks to emergency services and police for the great work that they do.
