Free assessment and COVID/Flu testing with Yorke Peninsula Respiratory Clinic
A test does not clear you of COVID-19 forever and with winter upon us many people are testing + to colds & flus. It is important to get tested if you have symptoms or develop new symptoms, even if you have previously tested negative.

06/02/2022

PCR testing is the gold standard for detecting COVID-19 in the community.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, you should get a PCR test as soon as possible. This will now be a requirement for close contacts with COVID-19 symptoms.

If you are a close contact with COVID-19 symptoms, you must now get a PCR test for your initial and day 6 tests.

If you are a close contact but have no COVID-19 symptoms, you can get a PCR test, or you can still access free rapid antigen tests from RAT Collection Points across the state.

To improve the sensitivity of rapid antigen testing, you will now receive more free tests and will be required to test on day 1, 3, 5 and 7 of your quarantine.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms and test negative using a rapid antigen test, you should get a PCR test to confirm your negative result.

PCR testing wait times have improved significantly across the state.
