🔥😱 Please be wary of buying or using these cheap crappy tins! The burnt candle in this picture was made by a lady who has been making candles for years. They were a test..testing is what we in the industry always do..safety matters! The paint on this tin caught fire, exploded up her wall where all the wallpaper set fire 🔥 This could have burnt her entire house down.

This time of year 🎄 we see an influx of new candle makers who have no experience or insurance in place and then start selling online and places like Marketplace. Candles full of dried herbs..talk about a fire starter! 😬 Please!…who ever you get candles from make sure they have product insurance (this is different to the insurance you need to sell at markets). I’m only a message away if you are venturing out making candles and happy to help you make them as safe as possible 😊

For the perfume & candle lovers, finally got a list of what’s available. Some already at The Micro Collective in Kalamunda if you are out and about this weekend. Website has been updated. (please note I am NOT a website designer nor a photographer 😂)

A new fresh spring/summer (blood orange, lavender, mint, eucalyptus) collection in progress in a smaller version of these same jars coming soon.
The jars can be reused and make lovely vases! 😊

First lavender crops for the season 😊 I’ve already taken the cuttings I need, so will leave these ones for the 🐝 who have been extremely busy! Now I hang them to dry for a few weeks, allow them to infuse in oils for 8 weeks (tap my magic wand 🪄) and turn them into beautiful fragrant oils to use in face and body creams 🍃

Finally fully stocked..some new products and some oldies but goodies 🍃
It’s been all go in the lotions & potions lab with lots of special bits n pieces happening.
My last post I spoke about working my usual job 3 days/week…funny how the universe works. It seems I will be working full time on LPW and let’s just say I wont ever work for anyone else again & be so disrespected.
I’ve been doing the same job for over 40 years so it’s probably time for a change anyway! 😊 I will turn this into a positive and work on making LPW my fulltime (semi-retirement 🤷‍♀️ ) job. Time to do what I love doing 😊🍃🪴

I’ve been trying to find a quiet time to do a post…it’s been awhile. Lotions & Potions has pretty much been on the back burner as my priorities have been my ageing Mum and my job. It’s been a stressful time and very sad to watch Alzheimers take over such a vibrant and life loving person. She was the heart and soul of our family and we laid her to rest this week 💔
This has been another reminder that we should all be living our best lives, removing stress, making memories and finding some peace. So new beginnings it is..dropping down from working a full time job to working 3 days/week which then leaves me 4 days to create new products, grow my herbs 🪴 , coffee ☕️ catch ups and sunshine ☀️
I hope you hang around as I try to get my little business to flourish 🍃 😊

What a sad state of affairs for this time of the year..my lab bench should be full of lots of goodies being made, but no, it’s empty 🙃 I’ve spent the last 2 weeks being stuck at home after taking a nasty spill on the driveway and not being able to move around much. My shadow 🐈💕 was happy to be sitting on my lap for a lot of that time 😊
So much been going on with stressful family stuff the last few months and just no time for me to get into doing what I love. Thank goodness for my beautiful sister who has helped with all the things we needed to do.
I did manage to get a few bits and pieces done a few weeks ago and stocked at The Micro Collective, I’ll post later about those 😊 I’m hoping to get my s**t together for 2025! 😂

Beyond the ordinary with a touch of the unexpected!
I haven’t had much time of late to work on my own little creations but these have been a good seller at The Micro Collective over the past few weeks 😊 (They are kind of ready on the website 🥴)
These have approx. 30 hour burn time and only $14.95ea. Made from natural soy wax, phthalate free, body safe oils made in Australia.

Yes I must! Even us coffeeholic people find a need for tea to calm the soul 😌
Those that know me will know my excitement of finding this tea set recently. No it’s not going to sit on the shelf and collect dust (use your nice things everyday, nothing it too nice to use), it’s going to be christened very shortly 😁 Clocking off for an hour to go sit in the sun before the rains come and chill out. There might be a cookie or two in the Cheshire Cat 🤭

A quick update on the deodorant making 🌱 I am really happy with the effectiveness so far but I’m not an athlete 😂 so when samples are ready I hope there will be some more active type people who will try it out.

I think I went a bit overboard with the beeswax, it’s pretty hard and crumbly..probably ok for the summer months. The big problem with this batch is it’s very gritty, (but ok once applied and probably helps with absorption), which I’m sure is the zinc oxide. Next batch I will grind it up a bit and see how we go 😊 I don’t know why but I’m feeling “patchouli and lime” for the next batch…what fragrance (EO) would you like to try?
