Last night, a select few from the Mead Medical team attended the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Enterprise Awards, where we were proud finalists in the Outstanding Professional Services category.

While we didn’t take home the trophy, we couldn’t be happier to see local excellence recognised — a big congratulations to Kalamunda Veterinary Hospital for winning the Professional Services award, and to Rollerrama for taking home the People’s Choice Award! 🏆👏

It was such a privilege to be in a room full of passionate business owners, all united by a shared goal — to serve, support and strengthen our local community.

Recognition isn’t always about awards. Sometimes it’s about pausing to reflect on how far you’ve come, the people who’ve stood beside you, and the difference you make day after day.

Thank you to our incredible team, our patients, and the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce for celebrating local business in such a meaningful way.

Exciting news at Mead Medical Kalamunda!
We’re thrilled to announce that Mead Physio is joining our team of trusted healthcare providers, offering physiotherapy and exercise physiology sessions right here at Mead Medical.

🗓️ Starting Thursday 6th November, we’ll welcome Mitch, Exercise Physiologist, for his first clinic at Mead Medical Kalamunda.
He’ll be available every second Thursday from 1:30–5:00pm, helping patients improve mobility, manage chronic health conditions, and achieve better physical wellbeing through movement and tailored exercise programs.

The following week, Physiotherapist Jason will begin, also consulting every second Thursday from 1:30–5:00pm (alternating with Mitch).

Located in the specialist room beside the main entrance of the Kalamunda clinic, Mead Physio offers a convenient and collaborative extension of our care team.

Meet 𝗗𝗿 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿 who starts with Mead Medical 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸.

Dr Emmon will be working at our new Maida Vale clinic, which opened today to replace our Forrestfield clinic.

Dr Emmon Mubbashir graduated with a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from Aga Khan University Pakistan in 2012. She is a locally trained GP having worked in both metro and regional NSW and WA since 2016.
She is heavily involved in medical education at all levels from her roles as a Senior Lecturer for the Discipline of Rural General Practice at University of Western Australia for medical students to prevocational doctors and GP trainees within Remote Vocational Training Scheme.
Trained in all aspects of General Practice, her key areas of interest are Women's Health (contraception planning including Implanon insertion and removals, antenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding medicine, menopause), Child Health, Type 1 Diabetes including Insulin pumps and F/CGM, minor excisions and refugee health.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and young daughters and believes she could moonlight as a chef if she had more time.
She is fluent in English, Urdu/Hindi.

Dr Toby Muia has been part of the Mead Medical team since 2021, and we’re excited to take this opportunity to reintroduce him to our wonderful community.

Toby is a highly skilled and compassionate GP who brings a broad range of experience from hospitals across WA, including Royal Perth, Midland, Mt Lawley and Kalgoorlie. He holds a special interest in chronic disease management, paediatrics, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health.
Whether you're needing support with Type 2 Diabetes, a 6-week baby check, sexual health or managing chronic pain or mental health conditions, Dr Muia takes a thorough, evidence-based and kind approach to his patients' care.

Outside of work, Toby enjoys painting landscapes and spending time in the Perth Hills with his wife, daughter, and their backyard chickens.

Dr Rasool is highly experienced in:

• Performing minor surgical procedures including excisions of moles/sebaceous cysts/skin tags/ lipomas and complex skin cancers involving skin flaps and grafts under local anesthesia
• Managing suspicious spots before they become something more serious
