FUN and VARIETY is what we are looking for. If you are a fan of having fun circuit racing in a field packed full of variety, we're looking for you!

Sports Sedans
Historic Sports Sedans
Group C & A
5.0 and 2.0 ATCC historics
Project Blueprint
Trans Am & TA2
TCM, TCR, Mustang Cup
NSW SuperTT
Victorian VicV8s
and many more!

Queensland Sports Sedans and Invited Cars Championship, a Motorsport Australia sanctioned state championship held across Morgan Park Raceway and Queensland Raceway.

We've been Sports Sedaning for a long time, and it's as fun and fitting for the current era as Sports Sedans have ever been!

We're putting on a literal party out on track for all the highly modified cars in the Sunshine State and Northern Rivers with the Queensland Sports Sedans and Invited Cars Championship.

Have an old Club Car or Street Sedan, maybe it's time for a comeback 😁

Got a national series race car but life's too busy to travel the country all the time every year? No problem, many cars fit Sports Sedans regs straight up, plus the invited cars include TCM, TCR, Mustang Cup, TA2 & Trans Am and much more.

Finally time to just go all in and get a Sports Sedan? There's a few for sale around the country on the web at "my105" and if that doesn't satisfy we can probably track something down off market if you know what you are after.

Don't forget, just like the Woodys Engines V8 Ford Capri and Graham Neilson Mazda RX3 pictured from the late 80's, just because Sports Sedans rules say you 'can' do a full spaceframe chassis, diffusers, side skirts, 18in GT sized wheels and brakes, there's nothing that says you have to... It's still today perfectly fine to grab all the best mechanicals you can afford and stuff them in a cheap and readily available rolling shell and just have fun racing other people doing the exact same thing.

Undoubtably one of the most recent drivers to hit the State Championship circuit, with four round starts in 2025 adding to two events at the end of 2024, Kevin Springham finished last season with us in 2nd Place in our QRDA Hyundai Series X3 Championship.

Seth Mathie is our 2025 QRDA HQ Holden Champion. He is also the 2025 QRDA Club Championship Runner-up.

On top of the 5 rounds that delivered him our club HQ Holden Championship victory, it was a big year for Seth that also included the 1 Hour HQs and Geminis race at Queensland Raceway, and a fine 2nd place finish in the 2025 HQ Holden Nationals held at Sydney Motorsport Park.

His support of events wherever HQ Holdens went meant he was well in the running for our Club Championship, ceding only to Daniel Crompton and leaving Seth as runner-up but with another great year of racing under his belt.

Entries keep coming in and this one's a beaut'.

First seen in Queensland when Graham Neilson bought the relatively unused racer up from down South to replace his RX3 Coupe in the very back end of the 80's and was used by him most notably during the 90's, she's also been well known as Robert Coutts' car before heading to Tasmanian owners for a period only to return home for Angus Coutts to run most recently.

Now it's in Craig Kasper's hands who is entered and getting ready for The Last Rays of Summer 2026.

Come and join us at Queensland Raceway on February 28th and March 1st for Round 1 of the Motorsport Australia Queensland Circuit Racing State Championship.

For all the latest on Sports Sedans in particular be sure to follow our Queensland Sports Sedan Racing page.

We're so pumped to see this rocket ship back on Queensland race tracks ❤️ with two fast spinning doritos inside an engine shaped like a keg Craig brings back some variety to the show and that brap-brapping beat.

We go racing at Last Rays of Summer, Round 1 of the State Championship, Queensland Raceway, February 28th and March 1st.

New competitor for the Queensland Sports & Racing Cars Championship inbound!

Need a hand getting into a Formula 3, Formula Renault, Formula 2, F1000, Formula Ford 2000, Duratec Formula Ford, Radical, Supersport, Sports Racer or Clubman-style sports car?

They're all in the Sports & Racing Cars, and we're here to help, just DM our QRDA Sports & Racing page with your questions.

You're not looking at a Queenslander only niche either, with plenty of racing interstate, see our Southern counterparts using these handles:

A new year brings new faces and plenty of changes and for Queensland Sports & Racing Cars Championship sees the welcoming of a recently acquired Formula 3 Dallara for a driver stepping out of Formula Vee.

Round 1 is getting stacked with cars for the Formula Ford, Sports and Racing Cars grid, see it all at Queensland Raceway during Last Rays of Summer 2026.

Jason Clements sits atop our 3rd Place podium in the 2025 QRDA Improved Production Car Championship in his well-known E36 BMW M3.

When his son Kyler wasn’t borrowing the car, Jason was aboard and pedalling hard in his usual, stand-out fashion. The car and driver combination need no introduction around the country; it is great to have Jason and family as part of the QRDA.

To round out the year the crew travelled to Victoria for Island Magic, and more specifically the Improved Production Car Nationals taking part in the weekend. For his troubles the Clements BMW returned to its Northern Rivers home base with a 5th place overall in the Over 2 Litre Nationals, behind two V8s, an RX7 and a Victorian BMW.

3rd Place in the QRDA's Sports Sedans Championship for 2025 is Geoff Taunton.

Despite a limited appearance, Geoff reminded all that he and his MARC-built Mustang are an incredible combination. A highlight of the Sports Sedans year was his battles with Daniel Crompton, trading lap times and keeping close company while producing between the pair a twin V8 symphony for those watching on.

SuperMini is back and fully supporting the Queensland Circuit Racing State Championship in 2026.

These hotrods will be at both of QR's Two-Day rounds, and at Morgan Park Raceway for their three round Grand Slam formed by QCRSC'S 2, 3 and 6.

The only event they'll miss is the Saturday Showdown one-day at QR as the Minis will be in "travel mode" elsewhere in the country.

The modern Minis will kick off their year shortly, along with our Queensland Sports Sedan Racing and QRDA Sports & Racing fields.

If you are a fan of open wheel single seaters, fabricated sports cars, and sports and GT production cars turned into race cars, we have a page for you!

Brand new and less than a week on the dial, QRDA Sports & Racing will keep you covered.

More of a modified tin top type of follower? Don't miss our Queensland Sports Sedan Racing page for more detailed information on that style of racing.

The page isn't even a week old and we're already getting the Sports & Racing message out into the universe 😁 surely not a bad result for a few days and, as of this morning, 23 followers! More to come this year, much much more to come...

We are looking after Formula Ford 1600 competitors with a cost effective 6 round Motorsport Australia approved championship.

We'll offer Racing Cars, slicks and wings single seat racers, a home club in Queensland.

We'll be taking a deep dive into the race weekends of QRDA - Queensland Racing Drivers Association Inc. members.

3rd Place in our 2025 QRDA Hyundai Series X3 Championship goes to Sam Simpson!

In addition to local Excel racing, Sam took to Sydney Motorsport Park during 2025 for the interstate challenge, and in a grid mixed with both NSW and Qld entries qualified in the teens and then raced the weekend consistently in the top 10, edging his way forward with each race into 6th by the last.

In Queensland Simpson produced many top 10 performances as well, though some unfortunate non-finishes and missed rounds meant a large points haul wasn’t to be. With only a limited number of race meetings under his belt in just a couple of years, his performance on track is certainly solid.

Feb.28 and Mar.1 we kick off the local circuit racing year at Queensland Raceway with the first Motorsport Australia round.

There will be ProdSports, Formula Vee, Formula Ford 1600, and Sports & Racing Cars return with Radical vs F3 and any other slicks and aero fabricated car.

QRDA's Sports Sedans & Invited Cars will be there as well as Improved Production Racing Association Queensland.

Series X3 Excels, HQ Holdens and Qld Gemini Series bring the one-make.

SuperMini Challenge takes one-make racing and pushes it and the cars towards the more extreme.

Adding to the QCRSC core group will be visitors the Queensland Production Car club.

All the spectators info should be on QR's online calendar and through their social media. 2026 season here we come, looking for a nice bit of fun in the sun 😎

Coming home in 2nd Place in 2025 in the club's QRDA Production Sports Car Championship, Scott Dean ventured out to State Racing during last year with his GT4-specification Aston Martin to race with ProdSports. A limited campaign kept the points haul small, but when on track the mighty Aston is fast, and is sure to keep that Scott Dean smile on his dial under the helmet.
