Recovering from illness or surgery can be difficult. Feeling unwell, exhausted, and just not yourself – all this makes it hard to work out what to do to start feeling better. We’ve put together some simple tips to help you on your way to feeling “you” again.

✅First of all, rest is very important! Your body needs to be given time and opportunity to recover. “Sleep is when you heal” is a great phrase to remember.

✅Try to pace yourself. Gradually doing a little more each day is the safest and most effective way of building up to your usual activity levels. Gentle movement around the house or garden is a great place to start.

✅Remember to stay hydrated and nourished, and be kind to yourself!
