5 Tips to prepare for the heat this Summer...
1. Check all fans, air-conditioners, fridges and freezers are working.
2. Learn about safe food and medicine storage during hot weather and power outages.
3. Make a plan with family, friends and neighbors to stay in touch on hot days.
4. Check contact details of doctors, pharmacists and any specialists you see.
5. Note any places within your community that may be cooler than your home, like libraries, shops or parks with plenty of shade.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Deb W and Michelle B, valued members of the A.P. Care Services team as they move into retirement.

Deb started working with A.P. Care Services in 2017 when she decided to look for a change in direction from working as a swimming instructor. Her warm, friendly, empathetic and easy going manner meant Deb was immensely popular with her clients who ranged from needing assistance with domestic tasks right up to clients requiring complex care. We wish her all the best for her retirement.

At the beginning of 2025, Michelle let us know that she would be retiring at the end of the year after nearly 25 years with us. Michelle has a wealth of experience working with the most complex of clients and she has been attending to some of her clients for over 18 years. Michelle has added so much to her clients lives through the quality of ongoing care she has provided and I know she will be greatly missed.
