From ages 2-5, kids start showing more interest in others and express emotions better πŸ’¬. By age 3, they often enjoy cooperative play and friendships. And by age 4-5, with some help, they're usually good at managing feelings and social expectations.

Social and emotional development is about much more than behaviour, it includes connection, play, emotional expression, and participation in everyday life.

Our Early Developmental Assessments, proudly supported by Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, are here for kids aged 2-5 who may need support. These assessments are ✨ FREE with no diagnosis needed, we will have an expressions of interest form to fill out on our website very soon.

When should you seek advice?
πŸ’š Your child has significant difficulty connecting with others
πŸ’š Has persistent challenges with regulation beyond what is expected for age
πŸ’š Finds everyday routines and social participation much harder than peers.

This was a big moment for our team πŸ’™

Our Clinical Services Manager, Millie Caddy, recently delivered a workshop at the Rural Health West Conference 2026 on the Connect ECHO Model, a hybrid model for very remote paediatric services.

ECHO is how we design outreach so support works between visits, not just when clinicians are on the ground:
🌿 Ecological immersion (understanding the child’s real-world environment)
🀝 Connection & trust (relationships first)
πŸ” Hybrid approach (outreach + structured telepractice)
🧩 Ownership & enablement (building local confidence and capability)

The session used real-world scenarios from our outreach locations to help clinicians plan around barriers like connectivity, privacy, workforce gaps and risk, while keeping care family-centred and practical.

We're so proud of you, Millie πŸ‘
