About Jurre:

Jurre's journey into physiotherapy began with a passion for movement and health. After several years of working as a personal trainer, he completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Since then, he has gained valuable experience across a variety of clinics, treating a wide range of clients and conditions.

Jurre specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, and joint-related conditions, with additional training in sports rehab, Trigger Point therapy, and dry needling. More recently, he has expanded his expertise by working with people with disabilities, supporting them in achieving greater independence, mobility, and quality of life.

In 2025, Jurre and his family made the exciting decision to emigrate to Australia, fulfilling a long-term dream. He is looking forward to continuing his career and supporting the community with personalised, evidence-based care.

Outside the clinic, Jurre enjoys staying active, spending quality time with family, and embracing everything Australia has to offer.

Let us introduce you to Sarah...

Sarah's initial Pilates training was completed at the University of Technology Sydney in 2004. The profound impact it had on her own body and mind inspired a deeper exploration of the method, leading to certification as a Studio and Mat Practitioner with Polestar Pilates International in 2007.

Witnessing the inclusivity and adaptability of the Pilates Method for people of all ages and abilities encouraged further study. She completed a Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction with Pilates International in 2008, followed by a Certificate III in Fitness in 2010, as Pilates continued to gain momentum in the broader fitness world.

Her deep curiosity about human movement also led her to explore Iyengar yoga, the Alexander Technique, and the Feldenkrais Method—all of which continue to influence how she teaches and supports others on their movement journeys.

Pilates became especially meaningful during her two pregnancies, offering a reliable and supportive practice that aided a natural recovery after childbirth. This experience inspired further training with the Center for Women’s Fitness in the USA, where she became a certified pre- and post-natal instructor.

She teaches Contemporary Pilates that is adaptable, inclusive, and centred around the whole person. Her work is informed by current research into healthy ageing, functional fitness, and falls prevention. She has also undertaken additional training in Parkinson’s, dementia, and osteoporosis.

Outside the studio, she enjoys yoga, tai chi, jiu jitsu, music, theatre, and anthropology—and loves spending time with her husband, children, and their six lively pets.

Welcome Sarah, we are so happy to have you another clinic!

What is an Exercise Physiologist and how do they differ from a Physiotherapist?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who specialise in prescribing safe and effective exercise tailored to your individual needs. They have advanced training in how the body responds to exercise in the presence of injury, chronic illness, or disability. Their work is grounded in medical science and evidence-based practice.

The treatment approach of Exercise Physiologists and Physio’s can often overlap. Both are allied health professionals who have done a minimum of 4 years’ study at university, and both use evidence-based movement and exercise interventions as part of their treatment.

Physiotherapists can assess and diagnose a range of conditions and may work with musculoskeletal problems in the acute phase. Exercise physiologists can work together with a physiotherapist to receive diagnosis and build on the acute exercise plan and progression, not only considering the isolated injury or condition but the holistic and functional needs of the client. Exercise physiologists may also work with chronic disease prevention and management, pain management, and weight management.

In summary, your physio and exercise physiologist are both equally trained to be able to help you with exercise-based treatment for your medical condition. Your physio will assist in providing diagnosis and management of any acute injuries and needs. Your exercise physiologist can then assist in building on your exercise program and treatment to help you regain full function and be able to manage your daily activities over the long term, although some of these responsibilities will cross over. Your physio and exercise physiologist will work closely together on your treatment.

If you're interested in learning how Exercise Physiology can support your health, recovery and training goals please don't hesitate to reach out. We are happy to discuss how Exercise Physiology can benefit you.
