The Karyna Centre for Transformation was created in 1994 by Susie Nelson-Smith, the Director and has been a College dedicated to teaching professional, accredited training and study programs and a Centre for private healing consultations. Recently the College part of The Karyna Centre has taken on the name of the Crystal Sound and Light Institute to actively reflect its specialities. Susie was invited by Crystal Tones, the USA innovative company that creates and makes Alchemy and classic crystal bowls to establish the first Crystal Bowl Temple in Australia. It is now possible to visit the Centre by appointment and view, play and listen to a selection of Alchemy, classic and therapeutic clear crystal singing bowls and purchase if you wish. For those unable to visit the Centre, an online shop has been created where you can purchase your own crystal bowl and experience directly the sacred healing sounds. I’ve been writing personal affirmations for many years now. They are not affirmations to convince yourself of something. They are affirmations that arrive when you have been truly heard. Each one carries a direction, a remembering, a way of walking forward that feels aligned rather than forced.

When a crystal bowl enters your life, it begins a relationship. At first, there is sound. Over time, there is conversation, and eventually, there is trust.
My Crystal Bowl Mentoring sessions are for those who wish to refine their listening, deepen their sensitivity, and build a more conscious relationship with their bowl, whether you are new to the work or have been walking with your bowls for many years.

For more than two decades, people have come to sit with me in times of change. Some arrive at a threshold. Some are grieving, some are remembering, and others are simply tired of carrying things alone.
Our time together is never rushed. It’s a listening space. A place where what wants to be spoken can finally emerge, and where a personal affirmation is born as a living thread to carry forward.
I offer these consultations online and in person, and I’m happy to meet those joining from overseas later in the evening, so time zones don’t become a barrier to the work.

In March, I’ll be teaching the Crystal Sound Therapy Certificate IV.
This offering is for those who have completed (or are part-way through) Certificate II, and also for those who have previously trained and would like a refresher and a deeper return to practice.
The bowls continue to teach us over time. Even after many years, there is always more refinement, more listening, more relationship.
