On Tuesday, Empowered Liveabilityâs Marketing and Community Engagement Partner, Samantha Prior , had the pleasure of hitting the road again alongside Zuzanna Napieralski from Plan Partners to deliver one of the things we are most passionate about as a team - practical, real-world education sessions for our sector colleagues, participants, and their families.
They were joined by Candice L. and Candice Bartels-Waller from Le Bon Care, and together they spent the morning at Southport Community Centre discussing all things Short Term Respite, Individualised Living Options (ILO), Supported Independent Living (SIL), and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
The turnout was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many new faces in the room, all there for the same reason to learn more about Home and Living options within the NDIS and how we can better support participants to navigate what can often feel like a very complex system.
At Empowered Liveability, we place a high value on education and information sharing. Opportunities like this allow us to share updates, answer questions, and talk through real-life scenarios, because when it comes to Home and Living, knowledge really is power. The more we share what we know as a sector, the better outcomes we can help create for the people we all support.
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their very busy schedules (especially with Easter fast approaching!) to join us for the morning, we truly appreciate it.
If you werenât able to make this session but would like to attend one in the future, please reach out to our team and we can look at organising another session like this one after the Easter break.
