Health Support Solutions Australia is looking to recruit 3rd year paramedic students for PAID event medical work.

Short notice but looking for 2 people for Saturday 14th and 1 for Friday 13th

There will be opportunities for 2nd year students in the future.

Preference would be for people who in addition to their studies have also completed:
-HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
-PUAEME008 Provide Pain Management

Also desirable;
-Volunteer experience with St John Ambulance, SES, RFS or similar
-Recognised 4wd Training
-Other related HLTAID courses.

You will not work solo, you will be partnered with experienced paramedics, uniform is provided. Our aim is to provide you with meaningful employment, mentoring and allow you to practice and develop your skills whilst guided and mentored.

We are not a “First Aid Service”.

Paramedic lead and managed with emergency physician oversight. Our teams deploy with a paramedic of >3 years as an independently practicing, front-line emergency clinician.

They may be supervising and mentoring a First Responder, a Paramedic Student or less experienced Paramedic.

We won’t be the cheapest, but we won’t cut corners and risk patient safety.

Keep your eye on the Silver City 600 and Australasian Rally Raid!

Hello Rally Raiders!!

It is time to start looking at revitalising the Silver City 600 to be run at Broken Hill with a proposed date of 23-25 May 2025.

Firstly this page/group is not associated with any other organizers/committees and is purely being set up to provide people with information about the Silver City 600.

The Silver City 600 would be open to off road Rally Raid style 2wd & 4wd vehicles, buggies & side-by-sides, motorcycles sidecars & quads. Provided an entrant can obtain an Unregistered Vehicle Permit (UVP) by Service NSW then the vehicle would be eligible to enter the event.

We hope to have a Rally Raid Calendar (dates tbc) in 2025 of;

Condo 750 4-6 April
Silver City 23-25 May
Sunraysia Safari 10-13 September

Small steps but we will be looking at adding a 4th event at Carinda/Walgett NSW in July 2026 and stay tuned for our plans in 2027.

We have a strong network being built of volunteers that are keen to get the event up & running and if you are interested in volunteering please PM me.

Our very early driver & rider numbers are already at over 35 which is very promising as we are only a week into looking into the feasibility of the event.
