Watikarr Marrung Dalai's Dunghutti Barri Ceremony

A day filled with culture, connection and pride. Our babies were welcomed onto Dunghutti Country by our Elders — a moment of belonging they will carry for life.

It was a powerful moment of belonging for our babies. This day was truly a special day for our mob.

✨ Durri Men’s Group – Strong Yarn, Strong Community ✨

Today we had a great turnout at the Durri Men’s Group, and it was especially deadly to welcome Uncle Steve Blunden (former CEO), Uncle Bob Mumbler, Uncle Claude Roberts and Uncle Eddie Vale along for the morning yarn.

We shared strong and honest conversations about drug and alcohol use and the mental health challenges impacting our community, and talked about how we can support one another and be part of the solution as men walking together.

If you’re an Aboriginal man looking for connection, support and a safe place to yarn, you’re always welcome at our weekly Men’s Group catch ups.

📅 Every Wednesday morning
🗺️2/33 Smith Street Kempsey
❌ (except the first Wednesday of the month)

These gatherings are about connection, respect, culture and strengthening community. Come along for a yarn – you don’t have to walk alone. 🤝🖤💛❤️

The Dunghutti Galbaan Women’s Group travelled to Port Macquarie today to attend the breast screening clinic for their mammograms. After completing their screenings, the women were given a tour of the facility and enjoyed a lovely morning tea together.

Once everyone had finished, the group headed to Town Beach in Port Macquarie, where they shared a BBQ and spent time connecting through yarns, strengthening social bonds and supporting one another.

The day was not only about health and wellbeing, but also about deepening cultural connections, sharing stories, and celebrating community, leaving everyone feeling uplifted and connected.

A big thank you to the breast cancer clinic at MNCLHD for taking such great care of our women, organising a group booking, and providing our merchandise it was truly appreciated.
